NWR Forums Discord / Hired Get
« on: June 12, 2007, 06:33:12 PM »
Placeholder for the inevitable announcement.

(This is how you play it smart with your 1,000 post. Now to wait for the results.)

EDIT: Ugh. What happened? Where am I? Hired get? 1,000 post? Oh wow. I've ended up way back in the forums. Wow. I vaguely remember these days. What was I thinking back then?

I guess I always thought I could make staff for some reason. Huh. The other posters here are right. This is a thread to laugh at me. Well, no time to wallow in self-pity. These forums need saving!

EDIT 2: I'm.. I'M TRAPPED!  :o I can't leave this post. My journey through the forum code rip has resulted in me experiencing a weird posting glitch. But if I can't leave this post, how am I going to get back to the fight against Anti-Khushrenada! This is bad. Can anyone see me? Is anyone reading this right now? You have to help me! I need this thread massively bumped up to the front of the Funhouse before it's too late!

Anyone?

HEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPPPP!

EDIT 3: Hello Khushrenada. How are you? I'm fine Khushrenada. How are you? I'm great except for the fact I've now resorted to talking to myself to keep sane! I never thought I'd ever get to this point. HEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPP! Is there anyone out there?!

EDIT 4: Oh man. The name of the Funhouse has been changed. That can't be good.

EDIT 5: I'm really hoping UncleBob hasn't gone and messed everything up again.  :(

EDIT 6: Alright, I can kind of see what's going on but I'm still trapped here. I think if you can get the laser to fire at this thread, the energy should reverse the effects of my travel through the rift and cause me to be free again. Can you do it?

Alright TVMan. I'll play your twisted game and re-sign up. I hope NWR announces I'm a staff member soon. Like Sir_Stabbalot, my next post will be my 1,000 also. I want to use that 1,000 post as my acceptance post of the job.

Of course, on the off-chance the election was rigged somehow and I am denied the job, well, then I'd use my 1,000 post to boo the decision. Booing may not seem like much but when a person uses their 1,000 post to do that, then it adds weight to the booing.

Or maybe I'll just blow the 1,000 post with something worthless. So many choices.

TalkBack / RE:Nintendo World Report is Hiring!
« on: June 08, 2007, 06:35:48 PM »
Well, rather than send Windy a message or two, I just thought I'd ask a question here about the whole hiring process. I'm not sure if Windy is getting a few messages from people asking what is happening or not but just to be on the safe side and not fill his mailbox up, I'll try this method.

I was just wondering how this process will work. Are you going to contact a few people and ask them more questions or are you just going to hire from what was submitted? If there are follow-up interviews, is there a date to expect them? This way if the date passes, it will help end the suspense for some people. Is this hiring going to happen right away or is it a ways off from now?

I think this information would be beneficial for a lot of people wondering what is happening and not just myself. I don't know if you want to post a bit more information on how this process works but it would be appreciated.

Ah, the suspense. It reminds of me a mafia game, waiting to see if one is still alive for the next day.

Heh heh. Good for me.

Don't mind Golden_Phoenix, Patchkid15. She's been trying to make me look like a liar to hide her romance with Svevan. You see, a while back, I posted the whole sordid story of Svevan's plot to win her heart. She tried to pretend such a thing wasn't true but if you look on her myspace page, you'll see she is "friends" with Svevan. In fact, if you scroll down the page, you'll see Svevan even makes a comment:

Quote

Must be lame having only me as a friend. Sorry, I'll try to be extra-cool to make up for it.

This means at one time, it was just Svevan and her. Together. On the same page! Since then, they've brought in a couple more friends to try and hide the romance but the evidence is there for all to see.

As for Thatguy, I love your message. In fact, I think I'll quote it for awhile. My campaign message is old and there's not much to do now that the election results are in. Yeah. It's just me reminding everyone that I won.. Maybe I'll tell you what a friend said about me one time after screwing him over once more in a strategy board game called Diplomacy. But today is not that day.

EDIT: Crimm, what game did you review?

I don't like to double post but then I realized it ups my post count. Plus, it keeps the spirit of my first post in tact and doesn't switch gears. Unlike this second post. So, switching gears:

Hey Shecky, if you want a witness for the Patchkid15 trial, feel free to call me for the defense. I have some evidence I could provide to add further proof to damage Smash_Brother's UP/ARE/Nintnedo_Star/Elementos theory.

Oh Konami, yeah, they are reaaaaaaal great. Hey, thanks for all the Gamecube support. Could I please have another Disney sports game? How about another TMNT game? Sure, they may give us fans Castlevania on the DS but what else? More Yu-Gi-Oh? That's great.

If you want to play a really awesome ninja game and by a company that actually tries to support a system, I suggest Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja. Hey look. The talkback thread of the Nintendo World Report review of the game just happens to by around. Right here And it comes with an awesome customer testimony about the game. So, why don't we spend our dollars on a real company that actually tries to create innovative things on a Nintendo sytem and actually cares about the fanbase.

Thank you, Atlus. Thank you for caring.

Hello Patchkid15. I'm afraid I am not all that familiar with you nor do I know how familiar you are with me. However, in regards to my claiming of victory, that stems from a little something I started before the job postings were announced. In the Funhouse forum (or forum re-arrangement complaint station), I announced that I was running a campaign to be elected as staff. I had a feeling an announcement was going to be made soon and I was right. And since then, I have been making jokes here and there as though I am running an election campaign. With the submission deadline over, I then decided to continue on the election joke as though results had come in and claiming victory. This way, if I am not made staff, I can then call for a recount and level charges of corruption. Yes, it's just not that funny when you have to explain the joke.

I don't know if you checked my victory thread that I linked but if so, you should see at the very top that I am aware what I am doing is rash but that is part of my persona in the funhouse. But I was also doing so as a joke using Sun Tze as though my whole campaign had some grand strategy. Plus, I know that if I am not made staff, (or even if I am) then the staff (and other forum-goers) may be able to have some fun at my expense.

You know me, I'm high on life. Though if you replace life with caffine, booze, drugs and nicotine, you'd probably be more specific.

All I was going to do was post that first quote about claiming victory first but I looked it up to make sure I got the quote right. Then I found a whole bunch and saw all these quotes that could apply. Then I realized that I think like Sun Tze. Then I realized that if I could think like him without knowing it and I'm this young, I'll probably end up being a better strategist then he was. Then I realized that I should take another swig of champange and call it a night. Now I don't know what I did last night.

Unless that was a sun tze manga comic about when he was young and next to an all female school and he was training to be a world class fighter and battled giant robots. Then no. That makes you a Bill.

Some might say it's a little rash to be proclaiming victory so early and others may say it's inconsiderate to the other candidates but as Sun Tze said:

Quote

Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.

And I made sure to claim victory first and then campaign. That Khushrenada, he's a sly little devil. Let's look back at the victorious campaign. After all, Sun Tze also said:

Quote

All men can see these tactics whereby I conquer, but what none can see is the strategy out of which victory is evolved.

So, now you have a chance to see from how victory came about. First of all, we must remember that Sun Tze said:

Quote

Now the reason the enlightened prince and the wise general conquer the enemy whenever they move and their achievements surpass those of ordinary men is foreknowledge.

Seeing that an opportunity to join the staff may be opening, I siezed on that right away. This allowed me to kickstart a campaign before anyone and prepare for any rivals to come. But more was needed.

Quote

All war is deception.

Quote

Secret operations are essential in war; upon them the army relies to make its every move.

As different rival parties began to pop up, I used some more subversive tactics. Hello Lady Une. Thanks to this subterfuge, I was then able to accomplish the following:

Quote

The best victory is when the opponent surrenders of its own accord before there are any actual hostilities...It is best to win without fighting.

Quote

Hence to fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting.

Sadly, Sir_Stabbalot had to be the victim of that. But, with his resignation, it seemed to be a demoralizing effect on the other candidates. That was good. Further, I then created the thread about people not liking me. As mentioned, the purpose of that thread was to accomplish the following:

Quote

To know your Enemy, you must become your Enemy...Keep your Friends close and your Enemies closer.

But more was needed. PartyBear was the answer. You see, I did try to bribe PartyBear. I can admit that now because I don't really care. It was just part of the strategy.

Quote

It is essential to seek out enemy agents who have come to conduct espionage against you and to bribe them to serve you. Give them instructions and care for them. Thus doubled agents are recruited and used.

One method of accomplishing that was by the many offers and acceptions to take a position in my party. And although PartyBear failed to live up to expectations and join me, he did help me accomplish one other goal:

Quote

A military operation involves deception. Even though you are competent, appear to be incompetent. Though effective, appear to be ineffective.

Quote

Pretend inferiority and encourage his arrogance.

It may have seemed odd that I seemed to be hurting my chances and make myself look weak every time an accusation came up. Others may have thought they had a chance at toppling my campaign. But, in truth, I was just setting them up further for defeat. Thanks for the help PartyBear and TVMan. You too Thatguy. You helped prove another point:

Quote

Know thy enemy and know thyself, find naught in fear for 100 battles. Know thyself but not thy enemy, find level of loss and victory. Know thy enemy but not thyself, wallow in defeat everytime.

Unfortunately, Windyman then decided to increase the submission time. He appearently forgot this lesson:

Quote

There is no instance of a nation benefitting from prolonged warfare.

So, I took this extra time to implement the final peice of strategy.

Quote

Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate.

Yes, after all the bad press, I seemed to just disappear. There was nothing else to feed the fire. I made it seem as though my campaign had been derailed. But no. Aside from showing up here and there to promote Atlus, I was continuing on with my plans and watching my rivals. I built up a case for myself and I waited for the campaign to end to now pronounce my victory. So, let this be a lesson to you:

Quote

The general who wins the battle makes many calculations in his temple before the battle is fought. The general who loses makes but few calculations beforehand.

Now, let's get to the business at hand and Parrrrrrrrrty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who wants champagne?

Ahh. This is one of the best Stanley Cup Finals I've seen in a long time.

The Ducks are now just two wins away. So much I would like to comment on but I'm sure just being happy with the way things are going with the Ducks will be all I need to sum up feelings for now. Can't wait for Saturday. Hopefully the Ducks can get the 3 straight win and pretty much seal this series up.

Time to start a petition!

I keep telling Atlus this myself but alas, I am but one small cog in the mighty Atlus juggernaut.

Although, the best way to petition Atlus is to buy as many games from them as you can. This will send a strong message that you gamers want Atlus products and then Atlus will create bigger runs in order to meet this growing demand. So, let's all go to the store and start our "petitions" now.

(Wow. I'd make a good shill.)

In a more serious note, Kairon said this to me:

Quote

Take your forum-rearrangement-complaints elsewhere Khushie, and let us pros do our work. &P

I wasn't complaining about the forums. Frankly, I think the re-arrangement is just fine. And once Windy finally admits the recount shows I am a staff member, I'm going to push for more forum arrangments. I think everything should just be combined into one topic with a catchy name like... I don't know....like Khushrenada's Kingdom. Now you all have something to look forward.

But really, all I did was point out that when you mocked your friend and called his spelling lazy, you misspelled a word also. The irony. I don't why you got so defensive. Unless....... Unless you don't have a friend and this "friend " you were referring to was really yourself! Kairon EXPOSED!!!

And isn't this supposed to be Wandering's job? Promoting Ubisoft prodocts? Or did you take away his job? Or is that Kairon is a dupe account of Wandering's that he has slowly been working at to make the dupe account seem like a real person so that he and this "Kairon" can then discuss Ubisoft products while making it seem like it is just two regular forum goers having a regular discussion and thereby market Ubisoft products to unsuspecting forum goers?!

This is a warning. Khushrenada is on to you.

I don't want to spoil your gaming enjoyment and I really hate repeating myself but it just seems appropriate in this case.

As I have stated twice before in these threads:

Quote

Consider the evidence:

(Alright I will. Will this evidence come with Phoenix Wright screens or characters?)

No, those aren't actually funny and just waste everyone's time.

(True. I should have realized that before.)

And again

Quote

It's funny becuase I just posted this in another thread shortly before this exchange happened. And I quote myself:

Will this evidence come with Phoenix Wright screens or characters?

No, those aren't actually funny and just waste everyone's time.

I rest my case.

Source

So, as I shall state one more time, I don't want to spoil your gaming enjoyment, but I simply cannot understand why people think Phoenix Wright faux arguements are funny. They aren't.

Now what would be funny is if the avatars were from some forgotton fighter like.. I don't know... Clayfighter. Then that would be funny. Lame characters for a lame fight between lame posters. Oh Khushrenada. How do you sleep at night after goading so many posters?
