Man, Okami Wii would be excellent.  Hopefully we'll get confirmation from domestic sites in the next day or two as well.

I claim no mastery of Portuguese, but its similar to Spanish. Here's what I got.

From what I got, Okami for the Wii, Lost Planet for the PS3, and Bionic Commando "is walking to consoles of new generation.."

Also, Street Fighter 4 teaser. Seeing as how the European gaming press got wind of Nights before the American press did, This is shaping up to be the real deal. Plus, why would a correspondent list one piece of confirmed news, and the rest fanboy wet dreams?

Lost Planet was confirmed to be coming to PS3, I believe.

At least that 2 year old RE4 had a new control scheme and was a good game to start with!

I guess that is true. Still a pretty lame game to port!

For the record, I never said I didn't like Megaman. Megaman 1 - 3 are INSTA-BUY when they release on the VC. I just haven't actually physically bought a Megaman title... and now that everyone's making out that these new megaman games are lackluster, I may stick to the originals. (Or a Wii version! PLZ?!?!)

I'll attempt some translation (keep in mind I'm French but I'm not the best when it comes to translating!).

"A long-time players' fantasy, then rumored several times, Okami has been confirmed on the Wii.
Slated for an early 2008 release, it is, of course, based on the PS2 version that everyone already knows, and will allow you to use the paint brush with the Wiimote. A rumor originating from Capcom that will cheer up Wii's owners lacking killer apps right now."

Sounds weird though because the Clover team doesn't exist anymore... Are we getting a cheap and lazy port once again?!

We're not lacking killer apps.  We won't be lacking killer apps then, either.

And Okami definitely is not a killer app, if that's how they're trying to associate it.

A sequel wouldn't really work with Okami, it's basically a collection of japanese mythology. The story ends where it does. What I'd be worried about is a REALLY sloppy port that would have analog stick control for the paintbrush.

I doubt they'll keep the pressure sensitive paint button since the Wii has no such thing but I don't think there was ever a situation where you needed it.

I'll believe it when its officially announced.
But I did link to this thread in the rumor thread, cause I know Okami has been rumored and denied by Capcom for quite some time.
If true, its about time they came to their senses. Now they need to bring Commando over to WiiWare, and all will be forgiven for now.

I'll definitely be buying this. I've heard nothing but good things about it and it would be too awesome if an original PS2 game were to sell more when ported to a Nintendo system instead of the other way around.

And yes, I despise the PS2 controller with a passion...

At least one announced game I don't have to budget for (I played and finished Okami on the PS2).
