Ok, so Super Saver Shipping™®© didn't suck completely this time, and I got DQIV and my 2000 Wii points card (hat-tip, vudu) on Saturday. Started playing it a bit on Sunday, and am having a blast.
I'm not a huge fan of grinding, but with this game, it's actually pretty fun. It might be because the progress you make is readily apparent - you get better attacks, weapons, armor, spells, etc. sooner than you might think.
The only thing is, I'm a little confused about the Torneko part, which is where I am now. There's just very little direction - if I hadn't read about him above, I'd be going to work, fighting monsters, and basically spinning my wheels. It IS interesting, though, and definitely a unique perspective (you can actually work a weapons store counter for money - people come in, they offer to sell or buy a weapon, you accept or refuse, and you're given a "paycheck" at the end of the "day"... your wife even packs you a lunch that replenishes some HP
).
So, yeah! Vudu, did you get yours yet? Anyone else who originally picked up the game, what did you think of it after finishing (assuming you finished it by now)? (sundoulos, UPB, Lindy, ...)
