Nintendo Gaming / RE: Controller Ports...

Hey everyone been reading this forum a lot lately and thought I'd sign up. I definately don't see Ninty choosing to use usb ports for their controlers this next generation. Here's why:
1. What if the other consoles actually decided to do this? Wouldn't it then be possible to get the controller to work on their consoles? Definately would be something Ninty wouldn't want.
2. Also almost all computers now have USB ports already and I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to get their "revolutionary" new controller to work on the PC. Although this would get them more controller sales it would ultimately hurt them big time if games on the pc could or would utilize this new interface.
3. Ninty doesn't like anything that takes extra effort to work. As Paladin said earlier, using a USB interface could mean you would need drivers for the controllers to work.
4. I'm not sure if this would make much of an effect on the price of the console, but wouldn't it cost a bit more to use a USB interface then use a proprietary conroller interface?
Just some food for thought.
