Living on Earth-616 looks like a bad time.

HAVE you SEEN our Earth lately? 🤣

That's ridiculous.
Plus, had preorders up two days ago.

Although, really, less "preorder" and more "Order" at this point.

Basically, the global situation screwed the pooch on the ability of Nintendo to deliver amiibo on-time, everyone threw a pissy fit, and I think all the US retailers were just like "why do preorders anyway?  they're gonna sell either way."

Yeah.  Am disappoint. :(

Okay, so... anyone who is sad about this... go away.

Phil Spencer did an interview and was just brainstorming **** and said...

“I was looking at the IP list, I mean, let’s go!” Spencer said. “ ‘King’s Quest,’ ‘Guitar Hero,’ … I should know this but I think they got ‘HeXen.’ ”

This series, one of my all-time favorites back in the day, hasn't had acknowledgement of it's existence in almost 25 years.  And Phil's all "Hey, I think we own HeXen now, can we, like, do something with it?"

I contacted Raven Software years ago about just getting a jewel case collection (iD had just released a Doom/Doom 2/Doom 2 Master Levels/Final Doom set) and had a great conversation with what I believe to be one of the og teammates who went into some of the details on how all the rights for Heretic and HeXen were all over the place and a collection would just be unlikely.  And now this Phil guy is just like "Yup, throw it on the list too!"

Two days ago, I was like "meh, whatever" and now I'm like "How hard is it to get one of these newfangled XBoxes anyway?"

>Heretic and Hexen

The rights to these titles are a tangled web, but Raven is generally cnsidered to be the primary holder, correct?

I don't think that's where we're headed at all.

I think as far as AAA-budgeted titles go, yeah, I can see that - major big-budget games being funded and published by one of the big three as a console-exclusive.

But damn, we have so many great and amazing "indie" titles.  Outside of first-party Nintendo games, just about all I play now are indie titles.  And sure, you'll have the occasional indie studio snatched up by Microsoft/Sony, but for every one that is, five more will release games and maybe one of those will actually be good.

The future of gaming has never looked brighter to me and the acquisition of Activision hasn't changed anything.  Heck, last Activision game I bought was Skylanders anyway. 🤣

Ha!  Nicholas Cage would be jealous of me right now.

I am legit going to steal Crimm's authentic NFT.  i just need to plan the heist of the century.

If it helps, I also have New Leaf digitally. :D

If it isn't obvious by the copious amount of physical stuff I have, I am a firm Physical > Digital camper.

I got two packs from Target the morning they opened.  A third from Amazon, a fourth from a co-worker who ordered me one from Amazon, two more from Nintendo's webstore.... then 20 more packs when I lucked into Target getting a restock.  Through a few trades and a couple of eBay purchases...

Mission complete.  Do you love me yet, Nintendo?

I'm still alive.

Tetris may actually become the best video game movie ever made.

I ran into this by accident Wikipedia leaping, but I remember reading David Sheff's Game Over and the chapters on Tetris were the most gripping chapters. The fact that the main character is Henk Rogers is perfect.

I own a personalized, autographed copy of that book.

Check out the Gaming Historian's piece on Tetris on Youtube.  It's an hour long, but worth it.

Is there any chance in heck that this gets a Switch port?

Have at it.  Post away!
What do you mean?

I'm giving you permission to post links to your site, advertise your game, etc., etc.

This is a fun piece of Nintendo-adjacent history and is more than welcome to be shared here.

Have at it.  Post away!

Yeah, Sylvie's goal in the moment was to distract the TVA long enough to break in and kill the Time Masters.  Which, kinda, she did.  She probably knew that the TVA would be able to somewhat easily fix it, but it'd literally take all their resources.

>I refuse to accept that this Loki had such a turn around in something like a week.

I think we're supposed to believe that this Loki watching Prime Loki's life play out, which included his role in the death of his mother and Ragnarok, combined with making a "real" connection to another (another?) person in Sylvie, he manag  change similar to how Prime Loki did.
