Topic: Zone of the Enders Coming to 3DS

Hideo Kojima tweet confirms the existence of the project.

A game in the Zone of the Enders series is in the works for the 3DS, according to a Hideo Kojima tweet.

The series features mech combat in a futuristic sci-fi setting. Previous games in the series include two action titles on the PlayStation 2, as well as a turn-based strategy spin-off on the Game Boy Advance.

Kojima doesn't give any specifics beyond the attached photo, which he says is from "Omori-kun's desk."

I actually really love this game, but I only played the first one for the PS2 (it's actually one of the few reasons that I considered the PS2 a viable consideration for a worth while purchase). the downside to this is that one of the reasons I loved it for the PS2 is because I thought it had a really nice and full implementation of the DualShock controller, the 3DS doesn't have as many buttons as the DualShock.. so we'll see how they figure that out. I do really like the idea of seeing this game in 3D though :-D

I like the clever logo... how "ZOE" and "3DS" are almost mirror images of each other.

I only played Z.O.E on the GBA and that was an awesome game with a damn good story.  I highly doubt the new game will be like that one but anything could happen.

I liked the concept of the games in theory; I just always found myself wishing they had more boss encounters.  The final fight in Zone of the Enders 2 was pretty awesome, as was the encounter with the Vic Viper.

I have never played Z.O.E. games, hmm I should give at least one of them a try.
