We already saw compared to past entries in the series and its doing well for that.  Sold versus shipped percentage we rarely see but, 57% doesn't sound overly bad.  It just mean they shipped enough to hold the initial demand then then maintain a shelf presence without a restock.

If they shipped 150,000 copies and and sold just about 78,000 in 3days no less, is it not reasonable to assume they would want a few extra copies onboard for the following weeks?

70,000 copies sold in a few days for a game like that on a platform with as low an install base as Wii U seems pretty solid regardless of how many they shipped.

Tecmo/Koei is expecting a million sales and if the West makes up the difference on that I'll sleep with your mom.

I can see it passing that on the Zelda name alone. There are probably about 400-500k "core" Nintendo fans who actively buy in the US. Couple those with the sleeper and casual Nintendo fans who will buy on the name (or because there is nothing else new on the system...). Also toss in the Dynasty Warriors fans and we can see the numbers hit 1 Million world wide for Hyrule Warriors. Don't forget Europe and etc.

Selling a million isn't that far off. The us will double what ever Japan sells and EU make up the difference. That's 900k at least.

Ain't gonna happen cap'n. Wii U has two million sellers. TWO. Zelda typically doesn't even sell that well, and Dynasty Zelda won't either.

With the exception of Four Swords Adventures on the Gamecube, all Zelda titles have broken a million. Hell, you want to look at "spin-offs" Crossbow Training sold 4.8 million.

And also Super Mario 3D World, Wii Party U, and New Super Luigi U.

I think Hyrule Warriors could eventually break a million worldwide when all is said and done, but it might take a sale/price cut for it to happen.

Sorry, I meant domestically. Should have been more clear. NSMBU and MK8, that's it. Skyward Sword sold 3.77 million, out of 100 million consoles, and it was a real Zelda game. Don't forget Link's Crossbow Training was a free game that came with a $20 accessory.

What does domestic have to do with Hyrule Warriors selling 1 million worldwide? The number KT has projected were worldwide numbers, not just US.
I think there's a good chance it'll go over 1 million.  200k in Japan, 400k in Europe and 400k in the Americas.

That's extremely optimistic considering a game like DKC Tropical Freeze only hit 285k in it's first 5 months in the US, and I consider that to be more of an evergreen title with future sales potential than Hyrule Warriors. We'll see.

Zelda is a more popular character in the US than Donkey or Diddy Kong.  From what I've heard, there are people that are buying the system just for Hyrule Warriors.  I don't think it's extremely optimistic.  Extremely optimistic would be 1 million sales in the US alone.
