And Lego Star Wars STILL sells on Wii. Forget Batman and Indy, Star Wars or bust apparently. Though the others sold well too.

I wonder how many people buy LCT just to get the Wii Zapper. It's a pretty fun game though and more than worth the $20 (I waited till I found a store that was selling it at $20 since that is the MSRP, most stores seem to be selling it for $25).

I might pick it up used since I hear those run really cheap.

I didn't even know there was a new Bionic commando until somebody posted about it in General Gaming. I originally thought the topic was about the NES game...

GameStop sells Link's Crossbow Training used game-only for $3 but I've never seen it there. I actually already have an unofficial case for it which I bought along with a Wii Sports case. Why don't these games come with cases?

In Europe Nintendo gives both Wii Sports and Link's Crossbow Training regular Wii game cases (or at least they did the last time I checked). I have no idea why Nintendo of America is so damn cheap that they choose to give us tiny cardboard cases. I'm surprised they didn't pull the same crap with Wii Fit and Mario Kart Wii.

"UFC 2009 UNDISPUTED (X360) 679.6K"

I don't think that's right.  It's only 1/3 of that VGS reported it around 250K which is more accurate (based on past titles).

What or who is VGS? & why would they be more accurate than NPD? as that is the source of the sales numbers.

Ymeegod, I can't find any tracking organization named "VGS". Whatever that is, I doubt it's reliable. NPD numbers are accurate and reliable and universally accepted by those in the industry. I also doubt that the Xbox 360 version of UFC 2009 only sold 250K. It sold 679.6K copies, fact.

Their system must be out of whack.

May 19th 2009 was when Wikipedia says it came out. So it didn't have all that long to sell in May.

Yeah it must be. I checked out the actual game page and it has the right date. It also shows the sales from different regions and it says that it sold 246k in North America. So I think the person above meant "VGC" when he said "VGS".

We've already proven VGC to be an unreliable source for sales data, so making the claim that NPD is wrong because it doesn't even come close to what VGC posted is hilarious.

VGC is unreliable and often times just makes up numbers. They are not a credible source for sales data. VGC is for entertainment purposes only.

I use it for casual gauging of game sales. Especially once some time has lapsed the numbers do tend to be corrected when real numbers are leaked or released.

VGChartz is kind of a funny story.  The whole website is geared towards simply declaring the sales numbers and the winners and losers.  It's hard facts.

Yet you probably won't find a bigger clavern of Sony fanboys anywhere else on the internet, and I don't say this with any ill intent.  They're just there.  Half the posts on their forum are about how Sony can "turn it all around" with a new game or so, even some of the news stories.  And this is on a website were the DATA to prove them wrong wrong is right there on the site.  Sometime RIGHT ABOVE the news story.

It's a website about hard facts, and as a historical archive, it is pretty useful.  I mean, who would know that Metroid Prime 3 actually outsold Super Metroid?  Where else can you see the meteoric rise of Wii and DS, and do repeated facepalms every time a 3rd party announces some kind of casual schlock for it?  But as an accurate sales gauge?  I'll just say they have a ways to go.

Yeah, it's useful as an archive but completely sucks for predictions. They don't even track everything properly, I once looked up the sales numbers for Cv Judgment and they reported 0 for all regions except the US.

The problem even as a archive is that it's not reliable. We don't always get the final sales numbers for a game, so they still make those up. They only make corrections when sales information is leaked.
