Ohhh! It's that Anno 1702 or whatever game based on early Western discovery of the Americas, right? I diddn't realize there was a Wii or a DS version.

Did they ever come out in NA?

This one is  called "Dawn of Discovery" here in North America, maybe you've heard of it under that name? There are some videos over at GameTrailers (and the GameTrailers Wii channel on iTunes).

Both the Wii and DS versions are only $30 and are listed as June 23 on Amazon:

Wow, June 23rd is the magic Summer date it seems. Conduit, Indiana Jones, Overlord and now Anno "Dawn of Discovery".

I am curious in the game as I like those types, but it may have to wait since I want those other three as well along with Wii Sports Resort.

A little over half of EA's estimations.

So are workout games the new mini-games collection games? The Wii has 3 workout games in the top 20 this month (and I bet Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009 is in the Wii top 10).

I meant to say 20, not 10. Still 4 of the Wii's top 10 selling games in May were workout games. I wonder what that says about the average Wii owner.

30K combined? That is pretty bad, almost enough to call it a bomb. I will wait and see how it does in June though. I don't think I saw ANY advertising for the game (not even any videos on GameTrailers).

Well two of them are $30, so I'd imagine wii fit owners probably got them to try out, with little risk.  EA's active is actually a neat product, but all failed before the original Wii Fit, which probably means they might want to re-evaluate this "follow the leader" strategy with the Wii.  The market was already saturated before they got there.  And considering most of them probably sold under 100,000, it means they really weren't that successful anyway.

I wonder how many people buy LCT just to get the Wii Zapper. It's a pretty fun game though and more than worth the $20 (I waited till I found a store that was selling it at $20 since that is the MSRP, most stores seem to be selling it for $25).
