This game is pretty addictive, but I could use some tips.

Racing style - what do they stand for? F, S, M, C? Front, Side, Middle…? Are they worth going for? When you get the “Special” triggered, it looks like your Energy rises faster, just like being in Comfort Zone 1, so that seems good. Especially if you are in front, away from the good comfort zones.

Should you use up all of your Giddyap points between solitaire games? Or just enough to not max out at 100. Also, is it better to stay in the comfort zones, or try to move ahead of the herd.

How do you save Energy vs Enthusiasm vs Stamina…


Do any of these numbers actually matter, or is it mostly random luck.

Umm… I can’t remember my other questions at the moment.


Any hot tips on horse racing solitaire would be appreciated!

It also means I need to modify my Dan Laser trade proposal as I acquired 2 cards I was asking for in my previous proposal.

This is now my current trade proposal for Dan Laser:

For your cards 105, 126, 190, 228, 235, 241, 244, 256, 259, 260 and 298, I will trade you my cards of 123, 128, 147, 158, 183, 191, 196, 214, 215, 237, 238, 239, 247, 261 and 292. That's 11 cards from you and 15 cards from me. One of those extra 2 is also a special card so you are sort of at a deficit in this trade but I'm willing to help out a friend or do it for potential futures on the Series 4 where maybe you can make up the difference then if it works out that way.


Hopefully Dan Laser will stop by this thread at some point and let me know if this proposal is doable before I end up acquiring all the cards I'm asking for.....

Going over your list, I have 7 cards that I can provide you with:

123, 128, 147, 158, 183, 191, 196.

However, you only have 5 extra I'm looking for.

105, 126, 130, 173, 190.

Now, one of those cards is a special so we could consider it worth 2 of my regulars but still a card short in trading. However, if you want, we can both set these cards aside from now and see what happens with Series 3 trading and maybe we make a bigger trade with those cards.

Sure, I'm interested in trading those cards, but I think your plan of waiting a bit for S3 cards is a good idea. I've put those 5 cards aside for you. I've bought some S3 card packs, so I'll try to get my numbers up here soon.

I received the cards from ejamer (thanks!) and have removed the crossed-out cards on my list to confirm that I have them. It's nice to see the lists get shorter and shorter.

This is a neat set, but I don't like all that black airbrushed shadow on the figures (it really doesn't work for this game's art style, either). I really dislike the glossy look of a lot of the First 4 Figures, too. It makes them look cheap.

And Skyward Sword is good and fun!

Hearing any update on the Escaflowne BR release is very exciting news! Maybe there will be additional updates on more of Bandai’s old licenses soon.

I’m still on the fence about supporting the Kickstarter, though. It’s tempting, but the pricing makes it expensive to pick up the whole series (particularly with the low Canadian dollar). I do love me some Escaflowne, but I’d honestly be happy with just subtitle-only Blurays, especially if it means a lower price.

I ended up preordering 5 pack on Amazon, but won't get them until next week. I'll try to pick up a few packs between work tomorrow too. Let's hope we can find some before they're all bought out. Like you said though, in a few weeks they'll be easy to find again.

Sounds like all card have arrived, and people's collections are growing as well as have been completed. Yay!

Aw man, your cards haven't arrived yet? I just received yours the other day! Hope the wait isn't too much longer. The cards from Khush just arrived too.

Ahh I don't know if I want to start thinking about Series 2 yet! I might focus on getting the SP cards, but I"m sure there are going to be some villagers I want. We'll see how strong I am.

...Actually, there's a lot of characters I recognize more from the Animal Crossing Mafia game we played a year ago despite never having them visit my town....

Haha it's funny you mention the Mafia game. I was quite happy when I found Punchy (the character I had). I also got T-Bone in the first pack which was cool.

That is very nice of you to be here to help others complete their collections!

I'd say you are in a pretty good position to complete Series 1 if you chose to, though! With many people done or almost done their collections, the collectors have plenty of cards left to get rid of (just look at the lists posted here!) While its not as fun as buying blind packs, you could probably just straight up buy the cards you need from people tying to get rid of their extra. How is the trading/selling amiibo availability locally?
