Not necessarily. "Cafe" is the development name, just as "Revolution" was the dev name for the Wii, and "Dolphin" was for the Gamecube. Since this document was probably intended for developers eyes only, it actually adds more weight to this being the real deal because if someone were to hoax this they would probably put "Wii U" even though that's not the name used by the development team.

What significance does having stereo speaks have for the Wii Gamepad?

It sounds better, if you're playing a game on just the Gamepad and hear something on the left, you'll know it's to the left...clues for "scanning" things, etc, etc.

It was and still is the code name for the system. This was confirmed on warioware.com ages ago and in dev documentation that I've seen with my own eyes.

No surprise if true.  After Silicon Knights lost their trail with Epic nobody in the industry is ever going to want to work with them again.  Dyack basically killed his own studio now because of his incompetence.

Nintendo owns the Eternal Darkness IP, that's for sure. Otherwise, SK would've cranked out a sequel as a quick cash grab.

I doubt it (that they would crank out a sequel quickly). The only game that took them less than 50 years to make was Metal Gear Solid 2 for GameCube...and that was a port.

Even if Silicon Knights still owns some of the Eternal Darkness IP they'll be dead soon which will allow Nintendo to buy the rest of it for cheap if they need to.

Well I think the patent for the insanity effects is under joint ownership of Nintendo and Dyack. Not sure about the actual IP though.
