Not sure why, but the video will not play correctly for me, what I did see looked good, and the "A" being white instead of green (like on the 360) makes me think it is a Cafe game.

That screen grab just looks terrible.  I watched the Ubisoft conference live and it looked pretty damn good.  Light years beyond anything the Wii could hope to do.

But that doesn't make sense.  Why would they have a white 'A' representing a controller that I doubt a very big chunk of the 360 consumer base even owns?  Most of them, including myself, have the standard controller with a green 'A.'

It needs to be positioned in such a way that it will be quick and easy to use on the fly, but also somewhere that allows our buttons and control sticks and things.  Unless, contrary to there word, they are forgoing buttons and everything is done on the touch screen.  Damn I hope not

I guess this will also mean that rumble is out.

Is this what the Wii^u CPU is based?

IBM said it is a 45nm Power based SOI chip... same tech that was in Watson*
Nintendo needs an OoO CPU to keep that easy breezy BC with Wii.

IBM designed it with using it commercially in mind and it does use some Cell based tech/knowledge in it.

It can clock upto 4.25Ghz, but Nintendo would likely downclock it to mid 3Ghz (3.25Ghz-3.5Ghz?) and this chip would still far outclass both the 360 & PS3 CPU.


It's only available in a multi-core setup (it says starting at 4 cores)

That's not even counting the fact that IBM said it will have "a lot" of embedded RAM on chip. How much RAM does a CPU usually have embedded? I'm not sure, but from what I've read, a CPU doesn't usually have that much. So what would having alot of it mean for the Wuu? I don't know, but it sounds like nothing but good news to me.
