This isn't a rumor (yet) but Capcom is making RE5: Director's Cut adding in extra scenes involving Jill Valentine.
What are the chances that Capcom is going to finally do for the Wii what it did for the PS2 and release and upgraded version of RE? I'm sure they would release the same game on the PS360 as well, but the Wii version could be the definitive as far as controls are concerned.

I'm just gonna say it here. Capcom is bringing RE5: Directors Cut to Wii and it will be the definitive version (if you're not playing on a HDTV)

now lets hope I'm right. spread the rumor. Maybe Capcom is listening.

And have Capcom face the same problem they had with Dead Rising on Wii...no not going to happen.

I would rather have a new Resident Evil game than a port of a game originally designed for a much more powerful system.

Capcom better take this opportunity to bring RE5 to the Wii.
It makes no sense to bring the whole RE franchise to Wii and then decide to skip out on RE5 especially when they make a DC version that is focused on Wii-like controls.

I'm starting the rumor here, so I hope Capcom is listening.

I have to agree here. Resident Evil 4 was a game slow-moving enough at times. Unless they do something to speed things up, and make it a bit more "terrifying" at places that are empty, I'd rather they produce something closer to this, anyways.

What's interesting might just be a game that's on rails through the parts where you travel, but with free-range movement for other points. Although... It seems like I'm talking about StarFox 64 when I read that.

It doesn't seem like a bad formula, though. The idea would be that the steady, forced progression would make it so you couldn't go slowly enough that you lose the horror factor. If the code were written well enough, each trip from place to place wouldn't have to be the same, in fact, they could even script out different attack patterns and routes for people who wanted to backtrack, all on rails.

It wouldn't be too bad, especially if this game is successful. It could even be great.

More likely that we'll see an Umbrella Chronicles style game with RE5:DC storylines and possibly additional content.

Cool. The Wii2 will bring back those 8 cm optical discs that we so lovingly used for the GC. Making everything wii one step at a time.

Isn't it possible to make it even tinier than the GC disks but still have 5 times the space of a 50gb blu-ray?

I want my games to come in a DS like package. Those are definitely my favorite.

too bad Nintendo invested in inPhase Technologies. They have the same tech, only they don't use a BRD to do it.

Why people still want RE5 on the Wii is beyond me... Just get a PS3 already if you want it that bad. The game would suck on the Wii.

I heard the extra content in the Director's Cut involves either or both the flashback where Chris and Jill are trying to arrest Spencer, but Wesker f's that up and Jill "dies" and what happens to Jill after the boss fight where Chris and Sheva pull that device off of Jill's boobs that gives her super strength and speed.

I'm still waiting for Capcom to stop being lame and just make a real RE game on the Wii. Get Ready at Dawn to make it if they're too lazy to do it in house. RaD would probably do a better job anyway...

Rumor: EPIC MICKEY game is based on an unused short that Walt made involving Mickey committing suicide

Apparently, this is not so unbelievable (the suicide part) since it's not the first time Mickey has dealt with suicide.
