Jonny is out, Nick DiMola is in!  James hosts a podcast full of catharsis and baseless speculation.

Digg Radio Free Nintendo

Nick, James, Greg, and Jon roll through a long new business full of anger and sorrow.  Octomania and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon form our new "Catharsis Corner."  But it's not all bad, talk of Okami and Europe's insane WiiFit sales help lift our collective spirits.

After that we ruthlessly speculate about the news and dissect the massive VC release this week: Double Dragon.

Lastly, we answer your emails with more speculation! First we speculate on the future for games from the Satellaview service and then we speculate on future of the Wii Freeloader.

Yeah but hearing Johnny praise Magic Online but bash The Sims 2 and Nintendogs as crappy was great fun to listen to!

Edit: I noticed that I say "right" alot, that's really annoying...

Edit: Haha, James managed to work in my epic fail at the end of the episode, I love it.

So whats the deal w/ Okami and the Z button.  If I press the Z button every time while drawing a straight line, will it still wig out?  I'm still on the fence about this one, I just can't tolerate sketchy controls (no pun intended).

Sure was alot of Disaster bashing. Personally I am not that concerned about it turning out to be decent, even with the surprise release date (I believe Nintendo has done similar things in the past). It is odd that they would purchase Monolith unless they felt the game was turning out well.

I was going to post about the Disaster bashing but you beat me to it. First off, Nintendo didn't buy Monolith and then tell them to make Disaster, Monolith was making Disaster long before Nintendo bought them. Second, Monolith may specialize in Japanese RPGs, but they've made action RPGs, and the jump from action RPG to action doesn't seem like it would be that big. And  GP is right, Nintendo has historically been secretive about games when dealing with the media. One bit of negativity, though, in response to GP's post, Nintendo may have bought Monolith because of Soma Bringer and think Disaster is just okay.

I have to say, I haven't tried Okami yet, but I had similar "gesture" issues with Trauma Center, but tons of other people loved that game...  How does the drawing in Okami compare to the surgery in Trauma Center?

Also, Crimm, you act like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is something new... =P

But seriously, I feel your pain and I'm a Pokemon nut as you all rudely pointed out on episode 96.  =P

I haven't finished listening to this episode, but may I just leave a remark on the voice of Nick Dimola: he sounds just like Billy Berghammer. I then remembered that Pale was looking for ideas for the 100th episode, and so I thought, why not have a 2 part episode 100 where one part is old crew (PGC) and the other part is with the new crew (NWR).

As being the other fellow on the PMD review, truer words about the game can't really be spoken.

And I laughed a lot. Thanks for helping me with the rehab process after playing that game. I have moved on to Mario Kart Wii and No More Heroes and I'm doing fine. When I am ready, I will probably continue my Pokemon Leaf Green file that I stopped playing to play PMD.

As far as the 100 episode idea, I vote for the standard four 'casters. They have a great chemistry, that gets better the more podcasts they do together.

But I might ruin the chemistry that the present four have, like shyguy says.

I've been meaning to say this but, I, well have been lazy. Wii Ware comes out on the 12th NOT Wii Fit, Wii Fit comes out the 21st.
