Luke Cage will be great, I'm sure. Mike Colter said it's action packed from beginning to end, and I'm sure that Iron Fist will be introduced in it, so that's another positive.

Although I'm curious when and how everyone meets up to form The Defenders. There is still a JJ S2 coming along w/ LC and IF series.

and speaking of series.
Captain America: Civil Was is the MCU's lucky #13 film, and has the opportunity to help the MCU cross the $10 Billion World Wide mark.

Coming off the MCU's best move (IMO) that is Winter Soldier, and with the help of not only Ironman, but the appearance of Spider-man, I think this has the potential to eclipse the previous effort just as much as the previous effort eclipsed the one before that.

In other words, if Civil War is as good as or better than WS, then it has a real shot at breaking $1B WW and being Lucky #13 (an Avengers 2.5 in it's own rights).

which reminds me that I also need to go watch Creed so I can see Coogler directed fights scenes in preparation for my building HYPE of Black Panther.

Honestly, Civil War SHOULD have been the catalyst for Avengers 2, though they were lacking in superheroes at that point. A shame that they couldn't manage to fit Vision, Scarlet Witch, and the others in before that train wreck of a sequel, but if they had held off on making Avengers 2 until they could promptly blow BvS out of the water, it could have been a better movie.

And what would be even better is if at the very least the acknowledgements would trickle down instead of attempting to be forced upwards.

If the movies could at the very least acknowledge all the **** happening in AoS, and if AoS could acknowledge the rising "powered" powered people appearing on Netflix.

I want to actually feel like #itsallconnected instead of having to make excuses as to why this is happening here, and that person doesn't show up there.

And I get that the Netflix series have very downplayed abilities that may not quite make the radar of SHIELD just yet, but what's happening in SHIELD has no way of going unnoticed in the movies. So I really hope Civil War at least addresses it, even though a recent episode of SHIELD has already prepared us for the continued ignorace of TV by the movies in that conversation between Coulson and the President, using ATC and SHIELD as metaphors (in case any of you missed it).

I mean, Marvel's cinematic attempts may feel somewhat tonally consistent, but they suffer heavily from a lack of cohesion. If Marvel had been planning Agents of Shield and the Netflix series from the start, it would feel more unified. But Daredevil wasn't owned by them at the inception of the MCU, and who would have guessed that you could actually make a decent superhero TV show at that time? Now that Marvel has had successful attempts, they might know what sort of united direction they can take. However, they don't seem to be able to perceive their failures, because hey, as long as it makes money, who cares about the consistency?

I think we're going to see a lot more excuses for a lack of cohesion than an actual attempt at it. Hell, the Avengers got like, two lines of recognition in Daredevil season 1, and his actions have had barely any effect on things outside of the "Netflix Universe". This, coupled with the fact that they might not even use the Netflix actors as representatives of the MCU in Infinity War, shows that Marvel is more interested in separate, isolated plotlines and representations of their characters. Say what you will, but I've only seen character growth from MCU headliners within their franchise installments- never in a team-up film- and sometimes, it's barely even that.

Feige said convergence (between Movies and TV) may happen sooner than we think, but just knowing that he didn't also opt to take over the TV department with his Coup of the Movie department just let me know where his main focus was (one thing at a time, instead of MCU as a whole, and it's understandable, but still a little disappointing that he couldn't just handle it all and make it all work as one as it should be)

What I'm really hoping though is that at the very least ABC and Netflix efforts find a way to get the ball rolling that way when either of them get pulled up into the Big Leagues, it means they both did.

I'm still waiting for the Coulson cameo to announce The Defenders Initiative or something.
Probably a post credits scene in Iron Fist after Coulson announces them on AoS or something.

maybe Doctor Strange can be the crossover to Iron Fist through Kun Lun or whatever mystical other realm they both traverse
or Spider-man a bridge to both AoS & Netflix as he is also street vigilante and in New York.
(DD S2 e5 related)there was already a place they could have referenced him in DD S2 but didn't when they were talking about the DA taking down The Punisher to set precedence to go after other street level vigilantes such as Jessica Jones and Daredevil.

But there is still plenty of time leading up to Infinity War where everyone can still get involved and cross over, and I'm sure AoS will be renewed up through IW as long as rating don't absolutely tank (6 seasons and a Movie!? that movie being Inhumans... lol j/k).

Only 3 episodes in to Daredevil so far, but damn it's good. Stairwell fight scene was amazing. The Punisher has always been one of my favorite characters.

Man what an improvement over S1.

This was truly Punisher Origins: Daredevil Season 2

Bernthal was great as Punisher. He needs his own mini series... maybe a 6-8 episode run. they certainly left him with a plot opening in that disc he took from his house before he blew it up. DD s2 was like The Punishers backdoor pilot season... not episode, but the entire season was a backdoor pilot season. Good stuff. would re-watch.

i do have questions for those that know more about these characters
obvious spoilers ahead What is the legend of Elektra? I know she is very tied up with The Hand, but other than knowing her ties to DD, I know next to nothing about her. I already figured they were going to resurrect her, as that was foreshadowed by Nobu not being able to die and then them draining those kids and that stone cocoon thing they kept carting around. I mean I didn't know this from the start, just once they made it know who she was, and then her and Matt were having the "if we don't die" talk. The moment I realized he put her in a grave, I knew she wouldn't be there long. what will she become!?

But also, what is up with that giant hole?

and lets talk cameo's
Wilson Fisk finding his name of Kingpin *unofficially* by taking over that prison. I didn't realize they might have Kingpin in this series until Frank was being escorted by that cop... something seemed off, and then it just kinda dawned on me what was about to happen. Benching like 7 45lb plates on each side (7x45x2+35lb bar = 665lb) with ease...

Night Nurse gets a nice prolonged cameo, almost getting shish kabobbed and before getting tossed out a window.
I'd quit my job if I were her too. Even though that's not the reason she quit... **** that job. I almost died, and you are worried about money!? deuces. I assume she will feature again in Luke Cage, JJ s2 and probably IF as well as DD s3 (because you know it's happening).

Madam Gao drops in for a brief stint talking about one of her many territories... you just know she will play a much heavier role in Iron Fist, along with The Hand and probably the next time we see Elektra is DD doesnt' get a S3 before The Defenders, and honestly, I'm down for a DD S3, just not sure where they would fit it in w/ LC in Sept, JJ S2 and IF both also coming up and then The Defenders.

The Lawyer... forgot her name. That was certainly unexpected as well. Should have seen that coming a mile away.
I still think it's a damn shame that Purple Man was killed, but she did save his fetus DNA, so who knows what they'll do with that.

and last but not least. Stan Lee don't hover over this spot, there is no hidden text here, he needs to make an appearance in every Netflix (and ABC) series at some point. Every show, every season, even if it's just a no line background character. Naw, not every season, but a 1 time in each show would be cool. Re-occuring Background character in New York is all the cameo he needs. Maybe always reporting a crime at some police station or to a police officer, describing some crazy event that no one believes, but in the background. Could be awesome.

anyway, long story short... Is it September 30th yet?
oh wait, I don't want to skip Civil War... is it May 5th/6th yet?

I still want my episode of Agents of SHIELD where they look into all these old men appearing all over who have the same genetic makeup. I think that would be an amazing way to cameo Stan Lee in AoS and pull off a one-shot "filler" episode that's just fun.

That would be quite awesome. especially when they even take shots of him from the "other" marvel movies he's appeared in, such as Raimi (and Webb?) Spider-man.

Or even better, when they show different angles from events that happened in the MCU (all of it - Movies/TV/Netflix) where he was always seen somewhere in the crowd "watching" or witnessing the events first hand.

They could have a lot of fun with it and create a new "mystical" mystery of a character around him and all his random... or not so random, appearances.
