A couple of 90s classics will be returning to Nintendo platforms via the Switch.
Hudson and Konami will be releasing Super Bomberman R in March. The first original Bomberman game on a Nintendo console in over 15 years will feature 2 player co-op and an 8 player battle mode.
Capcom is returning to Street Fighter II as well with Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers. No release date was given for the game, but it will feature co-op and versus modes plus "Evil Ryu" and "Violent Ken" in addition to the classic Street Fighter II lineup.
Seriously, though... wonder what convinced Konami to bring out Bomberman?

I wonder if Bomberman will end up as a playable character in the next Smash game. I recall that he was very close to getting into Brawl. Would be a fitting home for such a fun classic series.

Would be a fitting home for such a fun classic series. When Nintendo foot the bill for that other thing I kept wishing that they'd do the same for Bomberman. Getting Bomberman in Smash is one of my silent dreams. I would have been more vocal about it if I thought there was a chance. Now though I believe in miracles once more. Come on Sakurai! I missed out on the last few bomber man games so I'm going to be sure to get this one.
