Signed Gamecube
« on: December 27, 2005, 02:32:41 PM »
Hey, i got a "limeted edition Platinum" GC for christmas. after i got home and opened the package, i oulled the unit out its self too that it was signed. i checked with my family they said it was not them who had it signed. so i called nintendo Customer service. the CSR (dave) said the only signatures he is aware of are ones done @ promotions and events (i.e. E3 etc...) and he was unaware of any special offers or "Signature series" that was going on. he did confirm original purchase date was 12.11.05. which is confirmed on the Walmare sales reciept. here are pix of the tope of it.

any of you know anything about this? or any ideal whos signatures they are?

Hahaha owned.
So anyway I was in the shopping center demanding to know where they kept the western potatoes when Drive Safe came around with Simple Plan blaring out telling me that driving on the wrong side of the road is ok if the other guy is drunk while I immediately jumped on my dirt racer to zoom out of ther

OK, here's what you got there:

During the Nintendo Fusion tour, radio stations were giving away GameCubes and DS's signed by the band Fallout Boy.  I know because I was lucky enough to win an autographed GameCube and DS and I recognize the signatures.

So yeah, even though it was a re-gift of a radio contest prize, it's still pretty sweet!

Thats nice only if you actually know the band and like it though.

Much better.  Unfortunately, it still breaks the rules.  The max avatar size is 100 x 100, 20K max.  Your avatar is 115 x 115 and 40K.  We appreciate your effort though.  Welcome to the forum.

Metallica sucks.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I don't have a digital camera, but I'll see what I can do.

In the meantime, here's an ebay link for someone selling a signed game boy micro, you can see how similiar it is to yours...

Obviously someone won it or something, and simply brought it back to wal-mart and got cash back.

IF that is indeed the case, then the person who took it to wal-mart is pretty dumb, Im sure there is somebody on ebay who is a Nintendo fan, and likes Fall Out Boy, who would have paid a lot more than wal-mart.

Edit: unless they tried ebay and didnt get a good price

OR if they aren't eBay-savvy and don't know what it is and/or don't want to go throught the hassle

OR they don't trust Internet buying/selling

OR they didn't know about the promotion, and thoght it was a random signature on their Cube

What do you mean they confirmed it?  Does Walmart send purchase dates and serial #s to Nintendo automatically?
