Nintendo Gaming / Re: Kirby's Return to Dream Land - October 24th

Just wanted to say that I really love this game.  It's quickly become my favorite 4-player game on the Wii.  It's beautiful, fun, charming.  I know people knock it for not being Epic Yarn, but I think it's wonderful.  If you haven't played it, please do.

Hey, at least he's making it.  I remember Sakurai, around the end of the development of Brawl, saying he wouldn't make another Smash Bros.

I love this game.  I was so mad at IGN's review.  It's like they only gave it 5 minutes.  Here are some of my favorite guys:

Finally.  I remember years ago this was supposed to be one of the first WiiWare games.  I think it was called "Night Game" then.  I've wanted to play it ever since, so I'm glad it's coming to 3DS.

Ha!  You beat me to it.  Downloads commencing.

Yoshi's Island is still amazing.  Works great on 3DS.  No GBA screen for the icons.  Hopefully that will change.

The Developer talk got me excited when I watched it a few days ago. I'm really hoping this game turns out great since I was disappointed in City Folk. It looks like it will have a lot of good inclusions and fun tasks. Animal Crossing is much better suited for a handheld system in my opinion so I hope this one will be superior than City Folk. Good Lord, K.K. Slider in 3D... My heart is going to Explode!!

My wife and I actually much prefer it on a console.  We like to watch each other play, help each other listen for balloons, see each others reactions to the gifts we sent them.  I can't wait for the 3DS version, but I want a WiiU version more.  Especially since a recent repair wiped my City Folk save file from my system.

Is anyone else noticing better battery life after the Mario 3D Land system update?  Is it just me?  Am I crazy?

Got the T-shirt in the mail already!  It looks and fits great.  The cut is similar to an American Apparel tee.

Did some post-plays and ordered the shirt.  I like it.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: My Wii is dying. Repair? Replace? Or wait for WiiU?

Got my Wii back.  I was unable to copy saves to an SD card before it sent it in (due to the nature of my problem), and have just lost 5 years of game saves.  I'm not crying.  It's just raining on my face.

That last video shows some other powers- a punk-rock Kirby with a mohawk and microphone at 25 seconds, and maybe a tomahawk-wielding Kirby with headdress at 48 seconds?

Not sure if these are new to the series, but they look cool.

Also, if you look at the art that features the Boomerang Boom Boom-ette, you can see a Mario's statue form from the Tanookisuit of Mario 3.  I don't know if it's just a reference, or if it actually plays a part in the game we haven't seen yet.

Did you guys check this new detail?  It looks like you can apply patterns to couch pillows.  In one scene a girl has two of the same couch, but one of them had heart pillows that match her shirt.

Yeah, I was excited about Golf, but I can't even manage to hit the ball for some reason.  That game makes me feel like an idiot.

Well, it sounds like these games will be slowly upgraded over time, so maybe we'll have button-mapping options eventually.  I can't wait to spend a long flight next week plowing through these NES games!
