Yeah but seeing an incomplete version inhouse isn't the same as the worldwide release.  Having the rest of the world watching along with him.

Yeah, but his life wasn't about the movies - though I'm sure they were a huge part of it. He lived an amazing life and his impact cannot be measured.

Seriously. It's gonna be a sad reminder when they resort to photo cameos like on the tv shows...

He missed the final cut,  but i hope he makes an appearance as either an official Watcher,  Celestial,  or maybe a constellation in GotG3.

I actually think photo cameos will be for the best.

It'd just feel a bit weird to have full cameos now that he's passed on. Give him a nice respectful send off in Avengers 4 and have him appear in photos and posters in the backgrounds of future movies.

Dang. I guess the Netflix marvel universe is dead. I wonder if Marvel plans on bringing the characters to the MCU movies in their new phase. Daredevil and the Punisher are fairly big names, or at least they have been in the past.

I'm really hoping that with the Disney-Fox Buyout, meaning a possible restructure of Marvel Studios and Marvel TV from Marvel Entertainment and Marvel Comics, and the Snap! from IW being a way to soft reboot AoS, and the Marvel Netflix shows into the MCU under Feige, but on Hulu and Disney+

Defenders was never coming back anyway, it was just a one-off miniseries. It seems that Netflix was the one who wanted to cancel these shows and not Disney so much. It wouldn't make much sense for Disney to cancel since Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Punisher are all way too mature for their streaming service. Also the existing seasons are not leaving, so it really seems that this was all Netflix.

Having said that, the Russo brothers said they wanted to use th Defenders in Infinity War, so maybe they'll show up in Avengers 4 or soon after. Maybe they'll get movies under the same label as Deadpool.

That is what is blowing my mind about this. Why would Netflix want to cancel these shows?  I would think they do really well for them.  The only thing I could think of is if Disney raised the price on them and Netflix wasn't having it.

I think Jessica Jones is the last man defender standing.

I don't know which airs next, but if Marvel don't carry these shows over to HULU in some form or another, or allow Netflix to run with Punisher and expand to maybe.... Marvel Knights or something, I will be very disappointed.

They we're expensive to make and Netflix wanted to cut them down to 10 episodes. Also Netflix makes less money on them since they don't own the show. They probably look at like how many people sign up when a new Marvel season comes out vs when their own shows do and decide what to cut.

Forbes had an article talking about the business of competition, and that once Disney pulls the Marvel movies off Netflix and releases new Marvel content that any new Marvel shows on Netflix would be advertising for Disney+ service which would have other Marvel content to love. 

As much as I loved the content provided by Netflix Marvel, I think they didn't need to go as violent as they did.  Except for maybe Punisher.  This obsession with rated R content strictly for violence isn't for me.  I know others like it...but I want everyone to be able to enjoy Marvel products.  That means finding the right balance to make the movies exciting for both adults and children.  And the Marvel movies have done a fantastic job with that...and I am sure Daredevil and the Defenders shows can easily do that on a Disney streaming service.

Does anyone know if Disney+ is going to see an international release? If no, we're going to wind up with a weird situation where Disney pulls their Marvel products from Netflix only to wind up on Netflix or Amazon internationally anyway.

 You would think a multi-international business would be able to launch a global service.  But if Disney had to I can see it delaying international launch or rolling it out slowly over the year.  It definitely isn't wise to just put the content on another service, because people will wait for it.  Hopefully though Disney is getting everything perfect.

Hulu said in 2011 it was going to launch in the UK and it never happened. DC Online has no plans for an international launch, with Titans already confirmed to be going to Netflix. It's too early to tell, but my bones say no they wont launch in 2019 internationally.
