Luke Cage was nominated for a Peabody

Also making the cut are freshman Netflix dramas Stranger Things and Marvel’s Luke Cage, the latter of which Deadline reviewer Dominic Patten called “one of the most socially relevant and smartest shows on the small screen you will see this year.” Sister series Marvel’s Jessica Jones won a Peabody last year.

The winners will be honored May 20 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York. Hosted by Rashida Jones, the ceremony will air June 2 on PBS and Fusion — marking the first time it will be telecast on both national broadcast and cable television.

Well I am beyond stoked for Thor! Trailer is everything I hoped and more. Really excited to see this, and really not excited to see JL. The JL trailer just felt like a standard team action/hero movie. The music was bland and uninspired, came right out of the action flick playbook, along with all of the shots and sound bites. Really the only part of JL that looks appealing is Aqua Man. He looks like he is enjoying himself, though he is a little too Thor-like.

James Gunn speaks on Future of Cosmic Marvel and GotG vol3

Much of what’s happened in the MCU for the past ten or so years has been leading, in a big way, to the Avengers’ Infinity War. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will happen after all that. It will conclude the story of this iteration of the Guardians of the Galaxy, and help catapult both old and new Marvel characters into the next ten years and beyond. I will be working side-by-side with Kevin Feige and the gang to help design where these stories go, and make sure the future of the Marvel Cosmic Universe is as special and authentic and magical as what we have created so far.

Although Craig’s superpower seems amazing, he hasn’t made use of it at all—he’s lazy and figures if he has all the time in the world to learn how to fight, what’s the rush?

Dwayne Taylor (Night Thrasher)
Superpower: None
Dwayne is a local celebrity “hero” with his very own YouTube channel. Brilliant, strong, noble, and maybe a bit full of himself, Dwayne is a shameless self-promoter and entrepreneur. But he also deeply believes in justice — at least his version of it. Dwayne hides the fact that he comes from a really rich family because he’s afraid he’ll lose his street cred.

Robbie Baldwin (Speedball)
Superpower: Can launch kinetic balls of energy
Robbie grew up watching Quinjets take off from Avengers Tower and loves the idea of being a hero. He’s an impulsive and immature people-pleaser with a misplaced sense of confidence. Although you would think throwing kinetic balls of energy would be awesome and effective – his are completely out of control.

Zack Smith (Microbe)
Superpower: Can talk to germs
Zack is a shy hypochondriac whose ability nearly makes him a telepath — the germs tell him where you’ve been, what you ate and who you hung out with. It’s impossible to keep secrets around him. He’s a big sweet guy the team takes under their wing, and they help him find and grow his own confidence.

Deborah Fields (Debrii)
Superpower: Low level telekinetic; trickster
Deborah is proud, funny and quick witted. Confidently out as a lesbian, Deborah has experienced deep loss in her personal life as a direct result of super “heroics.” She can take care of herself, or at least says she can. She’s the one who calls people on their BS and has no fear of putting her opinions out there.

watched AoS late at night the other day, another good episode. Ultimately someone got what they wanted, even if it's not what they deserved.
the next few episodes are gonna be so good. and that smirk right at the end. LOL

I doubt it's a reboot seeing as how Spider-man 2 and GotG3 are still announced as coming.
Doctor Strange and BP are both likely to get sequels as well.

But the focus will probably no longer be on Tony Stark and Cap... not to say that there won't be an Iron Man, it probably just won't be Tony in the suit, and there may be a Cap, but won't be Steve holding the Shield.

I think that is a sign that we will see people start taking over the "mantle" for Iron-Man, Cap, Hawkeye, and other long-standing heroes. They do it in the comics, and it is a perfect way to send off older actors while keeping the "character" intact. Falcon could become new Iron-Man or sorts, Buckey could be a new Cap, and after a few Spidey movies they could replace Peter with a new actor+character named Miles.

I'm sure after Marvel does it's 2-3 Spidey movies, Sony will take over and run it back into the ground by incorporating him into whatever cineverse they are working on w/ Venom and Black Cat and whoever.

I'm just hoping that in the meantime, Marvel uses Mysterio and at least 1 other (Chameleon?) for the sequel, and then does the grand finale of Sinister Six in the trilogy end.
