So, I searched all through Fatty's town but there was only one weed. I plucked it and went back and got.. nothing which contradicts everything else I've read about being able to go to another town and pluck their weeds to earn more furniture. But Leif did say that he has a present for out of towners who helped with the weeding. So, maybe I just need 8 visitors to show up and claim a prize. After all, all my alt accounts were given a new piece despite not plucking a single weed just because the job was done in my town.

I guess we'll see what happens with Stratos.

Just to clarify, am I or am I NOT picking weeds?

I'll have you come to my town first and pick up the furniture items I have so that they are in your catalogue and then talk to Leif and see if he gives you a new furniture item. That's what I did with my alt accounts. Had them pick up all the pieces acquired in the hopes of no duplicates and it worked so far. If you do not get any furniture, then we will do some weed picking in your town and see if that changes things. At this point, it is all experimentation.

Question. Would you be willing to sacrifice some of your hybrid flowers? Perhaps if you haven't really saved yet, (although I think the game saves when you travel), you could go back to say Apr. 6 and disable the beautiful town ordinance and then jump back to Apr. 25th and have enough weeds to pluck. Would you like to try that or are you afraid of time-travelling messing you up?

Got some more info from Gamefaqs:

"It is NOT possible to get all 12 items in one town. 8 of them are given to you IF you go pull weeds in another town, and the other 4 are given when you pull ALL the weeds (if there are any) in your OWN town. If there are no weeds on Weeding Day, the other 3 non-mayoral characters can still get 1 of these 4 items:

Cosmos Fan
Lily Record Player
Rose Sofa
Violet Screen

So it goes like this:
No weeds ON Weeding Day:
 Mayor: unlocks topiaries
 Non mayor characters: item

At least 1 weed ON Weeding Day:
 Mayor: pull weed(s), then get item (topiaries NOT unlocked)
 Non mayor characters: item

In another town, for every 30 weeds you pull, you get an item. Keep a count yourself, as Leif may not do that for you. He only tells you how many total weeds are left in the whole town. Set cycles until done, then randomly starts to repeat:

Hibiscus Clock
Hydrangea Bed
Lily Lamp
Pansy Table
Sunflower Stereo
Tulip Dresser

Wilted flowers and clovers count as pulled weeds, although Leif does NOT tally them in the weed count he uses when he tells you the total number of weeds left."

Man, Club Tortimer is bumming me out! I've been making regular visits to it in my game from the in-game date of somewhere in January to now May and there are still some Club Tortimer islands I've yet to see along with regular island items. 1,000's and 1,000's of bells per trip and nothing.

I've got plenty of medals too and I have nothing for which to use them. Thus, if someone is travelling to the island and sees one of these items or wants to sell them to me, I'd be very interested in order to quit having to waste my time with useless island trips. What I'm still looking for:

For your information, I have my house fully expanded and paid off. As well as all 3 of my alt accounts have their houses fully expanded and paid off even though you don't really need to pay off the last Tom Nook loan. And I still have over 60,000,000 bells in the bank.

I have 9 gold badges and am expecting my 10th right away.

I have 1 deep sea creature left to catch, 8 fish left to catch, and 12 bugs left to catch and I get those gold badges. I have 11 pieces of art left and then the museum will be complete.

I have 177 items left to acquire for the catalogue in this game.

I have earned 2964 medals on the island and have plucked 1131 weeds.

I'm nearing my goal of Animal Crossing domination. How's it with you?
