Nintendo Gaming / RE:Miyamoto and Mikami interview
« on: August 04, 2003, 06:44:24 AM »
Eternal Darkness is NOT a good game for Mikami to work on.  RE coule be likened to a B horor movie where as ED is more like a Big Budget adventure. The last thing I want ED to turn into is some shallow version of it's self with terrible controlls.

Nintendo Gaming / What game I'd like to see for the Gamecube
« on: July 25, 2003, 08:36:29 AM »
I wouldn't mind a good Dune game on a Nintendo system... I dont want them to screw it up though, so it'd almost have to be on a next gen system to give them the development time.

I agree that the old Jade was more attractive than the new. I guess im not into that hardend untouchable butch look!

Nintendo Gaming / Mario 128 info!
« on: July 25, 2003, 08:13:27 AM »
Kingvudu's got it right. Miyamoto himself said mario 128 would be the true follow up to SM64. As far as the only people saying that goes, I enjoyed SMS quite a bit and still realize it was only SM64-2 with some upgraded graphics.  The 2D to 3D switch thing does sound mighty interesting. But, I try not to get too excited unless I read this kindof stuff on PGC or IGN.

I have to agree with dafunkk12. Instead of a unique hero to controll we now have clone of every woman action hero knowen to humanity. Not only in games but also in film and television. What Ubi Soft has done is make their character edgier and added more sex appeal. And, what sells? Sex sells. No, it wont effect game play. But it will make for a different game play experiance.  The simple fact that a character looks a cirtain way influences a players mind set on what to expect and how they play the game. Will the game still probably be everything we hope? Yea, it will. A few of us are just dissapointed in the direction the devs have chosen for the game. For someone to come in here and make a tiny poorly thought out post attacking the original poster is simply juvenile.

Nintendo Gaming / Why no Dancing for cube fans?
« on: June 22, 2003, 09:32:55 PM »
You would think a crazy dance game like DDR would be somthing that would fit Nintendo well. The best part is. The debate coach at Watertown Highschool in South Dakota... his name is Dorus Donus Roberts or somthing.... we call him DDR!! Great fun!

Nintendo Gaming / Nintendo Power's Defense of GameCube
« on: May 24, 2003, 11:11:48 AM »
"1. Exclusivity. The GCN offers The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, Resident Evil Zero, Super Mario Sunshine, Eternal Darkness, Animal Crossing, Star Fox Adventures, Final Fantasy: Crsytal Chronicales, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Mario Kart, Metroid 2, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike, Pikmin II, Resident Evil 4 and Soul Calibur II as Link. (That's 15 exclusive reasons GCN reigns supreme.) Try naming 15 exclusive hit PS2 titles. As for Xbox, you can count the number of exclusive hit titles on one finger."

Nintendo needs to make a commercial where they say that quote above in 30 seconds! and then just "think about it.... Nintendo" end of commercial.... man that'd be badass!

I'm trying to like mario kart: dd..... i really really am... but, frankly, i miss the KARTS!!! I dunno how to feel about the new direction the game has taken and if the controlls arn't perfect (i've read they kinda suck) i dunno if im even going to buy it... please reassure me that the game will be everything the other games have been.

Nintendo Gaming / New Zelda for GameCube... by Capcom?
« on: May 02, 2003, 06:48:00 PM »
So what? Nintendo gives the rights to Capcom to make a Zelda game? Do you really think Nintendo is going to let the game be anything less than any Zelda game has ever been? No. The only example of this happening was with those... Zelda's quest games or whatever back in the day... and thats NOT going to happen again... especially with a great developer like Capcom.

Nintendo Gaming / Nintendo doing it again??

Nintendo Gaming / Gamecube will crush all competition! ! !
« on: May 02, 2003, 06:39:38 PM »
Nintendo will not "win" this war. Not with the way the xbong fan boys present their system at my school. They are almost militant about how wonderful their system is and people around them seem to go along with it. The "normal" people out there dont know anything about nintendo's killer games.  They don't understand why Nintendo is better quality than microsoft or sony. They go with what the general populous goes with: Hype!

Bye the way, if you want to shut up an x box fan boy. Just mention that every killer game on their console - halo and splinter cell come to min - are already available on the PC or gamecube.

NWR Feedback / GAMECUBE "SP"
« on: May 01, 2003, 05:06:01 PM »
Personally i woldn't go out and and lay down 200 bucks for a piece of hardware I already have, but I'm sure those to dont have a gamecube already would go for it.

Nintendo Gaming / Are memory cards needed? I'm new to GC!
« on: April 26, 2003, 08:07:20 PM »
I recomend the Wavebird wireless controller. Realize that anything made by Nintendo is top quality hardware. Not to mention that 3rd party controllers simply do not work the same way with games because the first party (nintendo) controllers are what developers use to set motion peramiters, etc, within games. The rumble feature is NOT that important unless you are playing a game such as Leged of Zelda the Wind Waker where the rumble feature helps find items and alerts you to clues... things like that.  Like people in the above posts have said... Go with stuff made BY Nintendo, such as memory card 251 and the Wavebird.

Nintendo Gaming / New GiFTPiA vids!!!

Nintendo Gaming / Nintendo has something even bigger...
« on: April 26, 2003, 08:10:38 AM »
I know Nintendo said they would focus on 3rd parties this year and all that. I and know they release stuff before E3 to pique the public intrest. But I kinda get the feeling that Nintendo has somthing big up its sleave, even if its only one game and the rest of E3 will be devoted to the 3rd parties.

As for the little thing in the back of the Nintendo Power... that link looks pretty realistic to me!!! Don't get me wrong, I love the WW cell shading. But, it sure would be nice to rub a little somthing in all the x-box fan boys faces at my school.  Plus, IF, Nintendo were to release another cell shaded Zelda and a "realistic" Zelda that'd be THREE Zeldas on ONE console... hold me..........

Nintendo Gaming / Chance for another Zelda at E3?

Nintendo Gaming / Mario Kart Discussion (TALK ABOUT MARIO KART HERE)
« on: April 24, 2003, 03:39:29 PM »
The only thing that dissapoints me about this Mario Kart is that they've gotten rid of the karts... I dunno... I guess I just really enjoyed that fact that your only driving go-karts... Still the game will be fantastic though!
