From what I understand, the Wii version is pretty much the same game. Madden is different on Wii too, but it's counted.

Maybe the reason it is counted differently is because it is priced differently? The MSRP of Wii games is $10 less than their HD counterparts, so maybe for statistics and records purposes its important for them to count them differently?

If so, it marks a shift in their process: they've been lumping every version of a game together. It helped make their data even more useless than before.

MW3 is on Wii too.
The Wii version is a little different, so they may be counting it separately from the other versions. The DS version isn't counted in there for the same reason.
The DS version isn't counted because it has a different name. I'm not sure why the Wii version isn't listed though.

Maybe it's just a typo or an oversight and the Wii version is counted along with the X360, PS3 and WinPC versions.

The Excitebike figure works out to average revenue under $3/head. I'd say at least half of those downloads were the free ones in June.

I'd love to see that chart with the various milestones highlighted - Price drop, OoT, SM3DL, MK7, etc.
OoT barely registers. The price drop is the first sharp bump (actually slightly before due to the Ambassador Program). SM3DL is the slight bump before the big rise. MK7 gets lost in holiday sales.
I wonder what caused the sudden uptick in GBA sales.
Holiday sales, same as the initial DS bump (Wii would have had it too, but it was supply-constrained).

Although for some odd reason they tend to count them as separate sales (i.e. they start as 0, like if it was a new release even though it's the same game).

Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave, the latest Tales Of game that crosses over between various Tales Of games, has a strong debut. Along with it is the latest Harvest Moon game that is on the 3DS. Theatrhythm is in the teens, but I've read that it is sold out/hard to find in Japan.

The 3DS still selling well with the PS3 far behind it. Also, another week of the PSP selling more than the Vita.
