Mafia IV: The Mafia Horror Picture Show
« on: March 26, 2006, 08:17:05 PM »
The boy approached the bioluminescent mushroom.
“What do you see?” asked the boy.
“Blood. Murder. Betrayal. The feasting on man’s flesh as they approach the dark twilight of their last remaining days on earth,” said the mushroom.
The boy smiled. “Sounds like fun. What do you will of me?”
The bioluminescent mushroom twinkled in thought. “Things are progressing far too slowly. We need help.”
The boy frowned. “I’ve been killing several people a day. Yesterday I killed five!”
“You’ve been doing an excellent job," The mushroom said, reasuringly. "But time is running out. I’m the only one who can turn you back into a mushroom. And when that happens, do you want to become a…a pizza topping?”
The boy looked at his feet. “No.”
“Of course not. I only have several hundred years left. And you are already 17 of their years old. We need help.”
“What should I do?”
The mushroom turned slightly blue in relief. “Are you aware of this thing the humans call…mafia?”
“Yes,” the boy said.
“Good. We’ll need their help to set up a meeting with Ken Kutaragi.”
The boy gave a faint smile. “Tell me what to do.”

The mushroom chuckled to himself. He wasn't chuckling because the impending slaughter of the citizens of Wheresville, Transylvania was funny. Though it was. He was chuckling because the humans would blame their most horrible misfortune on the vampires and werewolves...when the real culprits would, as always, be the humans themselves.

I’ve been given the go-ahead by Pryopizm. Game starts the Wednesday after next (April 5). Sign up in this thread before Monday.

Role assignments will be random. Special requests will be ignored. Special tribute will not be paid.

And no, I don't have mod privileges. In a game that relies as much on the integrity of it's players as this one does, I don't think the lack of ability to lock threads and such will be any big deal. Though, if a mod wants to give me special mod powers, I probably won't abuse them horribly...

I secretly agree, but I wanted to get one in before E3. Also, I believe the gap between the last one and this one is wider than the gap beteen the one before last and last.

Not really. Once vampires/werewolves are dispatched of in the usual fashions (stakes/silver bullets), there's no more talking for them.

Also, while the game will begin on Wednesday, it will not begin on Wednesday, April 6th. Because there is no Wednesday, April 6th.

hmmm... good question. Unfortunately I do not have a laptop, so for a day or so I'll be out of it. Surgery has to be done, my very life hangs in the balance ( yes, dramatic but it get's the job done ) :p Gall Bladder removal is such a pain, unfortunately during an EKG. it's been found out my heart beats irregulary ( being born pre-mature might had a role in that ) so meh, onething at a time I suppose, but I'll be back soon after. Sign ups are closed

Roles will be assigned shortly. If you don't receive a role, you are a townie. If you have a role, if could confirm your role with me before the game starts wednesday morning, that'd be swell.

All roles have now been assigned. If you were not assigned a role, you are just a townie.

I guess it's a little late to expect role confirmations before the game starts tomorrow morning...so please just get those in whenever you can.
