North American Publisher Revealed for No More Heroes

Grasshopper Manufacture's stylish Wii game is finally on its way stateside.

 Speaking to IGN on Wednesday, Ubisoft revealed that it would be localizing Grasshopper Manufacture's No More Heroes on Wii. Saying that, "Ubisoft is excited to be bringing Suda 51's latest adventure to gamers in North America," VP of Publishing Jay Cohen assured fans that the United States would be able to play the game in February.

Purists can also rest easy, since Cohen also remarked that, "The game Ubisoft publishes in North America will have all of the content that its Japanese counterpart does. We wanted to make sure that gamers here would not miss out on any of the action or storyline details created by the talented development team in Japan."

You can read the whole story, as well as view the all-new trailer, at IGN Wii.

It's not surprising at all that Karl was the one to post this news.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

You know I'm happy when it is coming but I'm not too hot about Ubisoft handling the localization. I haven't played a Japanese game that was localized by Ubisoft yet that hasn't had grammatical errors. The worse was Grandia II for the Dreamcast, the other was more recent yet I cannot remember what the name was.
Stupidity is lost on my. Then again I'm almost always lost.

The voice work is already in English.  As long as they don't have monkeys at the keyboards it should be fine.

THE TRUTH behind Ubisoft localization development.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

I don't trust Ubisoft much either, but we got to give them the benefit of the doubt, for now.

Eh, potential translation problems? That's a bit of a downer.

Still, this is nice news as I wanted to see this game localized just because it looks so bloody wacky.
