Dude, Nintendo has really never liked TGS. They do a Keynote and like but in general don't have a presence. With an event so near TGS I think Nintendo will announce the great stuff here and the little details at TGS to throw them a bone. That's what I think.

THREE HOURS!

I'm guessing the first half hour of the conference will be just about how well DS is selling and how well Wii is being received, then the interesting part with (hopefully) new announcements. Trailers of new games would be the best thing I can ask for.

I wonder how quickly information will be relayed out of the place where the speech is being held... live text updates should mean up to the minute stuff.

ARGH! Why me! I have a class at 8am tomorrow and I've gotta get to the computer lab when it opens at 8am so I can add sound to and then export my storyboard project that I have to present right that minute!

On the other hand, Pacific Standard Time rawks. only 1:30am where I'm at, easily within my normal sleeping patterns.

edit: prediction: if the price is $170 or less, I expect they will announce "under $200" tonight. If it isn't, I don't think they will announce anything about price.

He's talking about the effect of Nintendo's new strategy on the market. Lots of people who weren't playing before have become gamers. It's the usual Nintendo patter - "expanding the definition of gaming", and so forth.
