"I HAVE to look at this from the bright side! That it's like a GIGANTIC 150% increase in maps!"

You said that youself.  Explain to me how that's not expanding.

It's a Mario Kart with unlockables!  You just prove the point that even when Nintendo does something right, something that people want (which isn't as rare as people think), people STILLcomplain.  THAT'S ignorant.

People comlained that there were too few battle maps in MK64.  Fine.  We got 2 more.  Plus, the other levels aren't the same one's from 64, so we really get 6 new ones!

Can't you detect sarcasm? You have got to be kidding me, 2 extra levels is a JOKE! It's like buying a 100.000 car and getting a 10 bucks discount on the cdplayer (or a free slap in the face), uncomparable I know, but I'm going to buy the car anyway, so why not throw in some free tires you know. Fact is, I don't know "people" who complained about the lack of tracks, I only know friends and me felt like that was missing for years and then I got the internet and read the reviews and they all said the same. You can continue to think I want to complaint about this, but I don't, I DO appreciate all the extras they can add to my favorite game series. I'd love for someone to convince me it's not a big deal, but you don't even understand why I would dislike what I do, so there's no point in it.
"What if everything you see is more than what you see - the person next to you is a warrior and the space that appears empty is a secret door to another world? hey really you have to appreciate, listen to what youre saying. MK64 had 8 charecters, 4 maps , 16 stages , no cart selection , no special items , 1 battle mode where MK DD has  20 charecters, 6 maps, 16 + stages ( dont know the exact number ) , cart selection , special items , 3 battle modes , grand slam mode , and more unlockables that we dont know about.

I rest my case..stop whining and sulking JEEEEEEEZZZZ

First of all 6 courses is only a fifty % increase. If MK64 has 4 battle courses DD would need 10 to be a 150% increase. Besides that Nintendo (forum user) is right. 6courses is a joke considering the storage capacity of the 3" disc compared to the 64's cart. Now dont shoot me for saying so, Im just pointing out the obvious. Honestly I couldnt care less about the battle mode, I dont use it. But for those who do I think they have every reason to complain. The rest of the game, Unlockables, characters, tracks etc. look and sound awsome and I cant wait to get my greedy little hands on this game.

Oh just fill the rest of the disc with DVD extras like the Making of documentary that's completely in dubbed Japanese in all its ENGRISH glory.

To connect 2 gamecubes by LAN directly without a hub, i'm guessing you only need a regular ethernet cable and not a crossover cable?

Please Bill, tell me! In a game like this, I don't care about spoilers cuz it's just a racing game.  Thanx!

EDIT: Don't know if this has been mentioned (too many pages on this thread ) but IGNCube has a Cup and Track listing on their site: Track and Cup Listing
I thought the Rainbow Road track was gonna be in this game. I thought I read that somewhere (although I guess you can't always believe what you read on the internet) Maybe it's an unlockable course.

On another note, why is Europe getting this game before North America? Don't take this as bitching, I am just curious. I always thought NA got the games before Europe. Oh well, it's good to see you Europeans gettting something good for once - a great game a week before the North Americans!

Here's how you do spoilers:   [spoilers] type what you want to hide here [/spoilers]

Except take the "s" off of spoilers to have it work correctly.

i haven't heard this mentioned anywhere, so i'm guessing the answer is "no", but does mkd have the option for computer controlled players in battle mode?
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

So can someone make a recap and tell us what's gonna be on the bonus disc?
