That would be too much like Kill Bill, but uncommon weapons and uncommon opponents are cool. In a strictly video game setting, that is. Killing a girl would have more shock value than killing guys, that's true. (A definite M, not a T-rated game.) Until we get desensitized to that sort of violence one day. Next thing you know they'll make a game where you boil a kid's rabbit or microwave some guy's hamster. Then again maybe we don't want to become too desensitized to this...
Stylized games are nice, especially with all the game developers these days trying too hard to be realistic. Visually, Wind Waker is more exciting than Twilight Princess, I'd have to say. But the general populace probably prefers realism which is sad, and that's probably why certain things like anime are either totally loved or totally disregarded and there's not much of a middle ground.
