According to Metacritic, Dead Space: Extraction came out September 29th.

If those numbers are to be believed, then Scribblenauts barely missed the Top 10.
and if those number are to be believed, then I hope DSE came out on Oct. 3rd.

Extraction came out on something like the 26th/27th of September, didn't it?

I wouldn't have known it came out at all if it weren't for the forums, I haven't seen a single commercial for it anywhere.

Nor have I, but I have seen web-ads for it (rather obnoxious ones, actually) on just about every gaming site I go to, so that's something at least.  And yeah, it did come out on the 29th of September.  The reviews just came out for it a few days prior to that.

So only 9k in a few days. I wonder how far it will go this month. 40k? 60k?

It has the Halloween boost to work off, but I think with strong competition from games on the other platforms I think Muramasa's 35,000 is as high as we'll see from Extraction by the end of the month.  I can't be the only person putting off buying it simply because I have better stuff to buy right now.

Actually, I'm doing the same thing you are in putting it off. Plus my bank card number getting stolen and used forced me to not use my account during the 3-for-2 sales going on last week which was the best chance for me to get it this year. Plus I'm more interested in Darkside Chronicles if I had to choose one over the other.

It sold 2-3k. Even if that was at $50 each (It's down to $30 already) that's 150 grand. That won't pay many salaries.

They've got TONS of other projects though and I'm sure some of them are making money. Deep Silver publishes games like the X series.

More reason to come out with WiiPlay2 and bundle it with a new color remotes. Like Blue, Black, Red, Pink, Green.
Everyone wants different color remotes, and no one has a copy of WiiPlay2 so it's a win win. Especially if Nintendo makes that the only way to get different color remotes.

I don't think Wii Play being on there is impressive at all, as it's essentially a throw away game that comes with a controller. Not to say it's not fun - it is, but it's certainly worth $50 on its own. The only 2 games that should really count are Halo 2 and Wii Fit.
I think it says on the box, 'No Hispanics' " - Jeff Green of EA

Honestly, since NPD is combining the same game on difference systems, I don't see why they don't combine different versions of the same game on 1 system; i.e. Pokemon HG/SS or Nintendogs.

Nintendogs would be at #6 on the list easily.
