WTF is this?

52
There was more I was interested in this than there was in Microsoft for me.

CAN'T WAIT FOR NINTENDO THOUGH! I will be at school though.... :( Damn exams!!!!!!!!!!!!

53
If that is going to be the price of this I am for sure going to wait to buy a 3DS because it will have a nice price drop before this comes out.

"Like the way we are using rear touch"

Great....

I like this conference better than MS's, more that appeals to me I guess. Xbox doesn't have much that I care about.

I can't resist it with this dude on stage.....

RIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDDGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEE RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCEEEEEEEER!

Maybe the battery won't be as much of an issue as I think but the idea of no more than 5 hours is just sad for gaming device. I guess I will see what others think in a week or so after you have had lots of time to use it.

$250 is also just tough for me to get behind with all the limited software and battery. Hit the DSi price of $150-$180 and it would be an instant buy for me.

Well I refuse to buy a system that has worse battery life than my phone that cost $50 more than my phone did. So if they want my money the 3DS either needs to drop $100 or get a redesign with better battery life.

I planned Pilot Wings for about 20 minutes no one was in Best Buy they were about to close. It is very cool, alot nicer looking system in person than it is in the pictures. If the battery life was better I would consider getting one before the inevitable "3DS Lite". The 3D does work and is very cool to see the plane pop out and I just picked it up and put it at a natural distance didn't have to look for the "sweet spot". I noticed the 3D less as I played but not that I stopped seeing it I just got used to it being that way really cool that you are able to turn it off as you play to see how much it changed the experience. I don't think this thing is usable at full 3D it hurt my eyes but around half way was pretty good. The system feels very solid and I loved the feeling of the circle pad. After playing for 20 minutes I really could feel some eye strain which worries me but maybe it is just a getting used to it thing.

Overall it is nice system but I have no problem waiting a year or so for a price drop and revision. I do hope they switch the demo sometime so I can see another game on it.

I somehow made it 17 years and never have played a Pokemon game.

I have a long trip in a few weeks and could I pick this up and it be my first or would your recommend another Pokemon game?

Buke and Gass - Riposte

Just to give a reference of what this band is listen to this song:Page Break

"A Brooklyn-based duo, Arone Dyer and Aron Sanchez play with customized homemade gear that includes heavy-duty amps, a "toe-bourine," a kick-drum with noisemakers and, of course, the modified baritone ukulele ("buke") and guitar-bass hybrid ("gass") that inspired their name."

This album is awesome, just such an interesting sound I have been listening to it none stop!!!

9.5/10

Baseball is the only one I follow intensely all year long. GO RED SOX!

I enjoy some college football or hockey if I have nothing better to do.

The Souljazz Orchestra- Rising Sun

This is an excellent modern feeling funk latin jazz. Just some awesome sound and I am a sucker for some great jazz music. The song Negus Negast is my favorite from the album just a blend of some sick sax and jazz flute solos. I have just been replaying that song over and over the past few days.

9/10

Black Swan

10/10

My movie of the year. Darren Aronofsky's fast becoming my new favorite director.

Good to hear I think I am going to see it later this week.  I was asked by a friend and thought I would but after coming home and looking up a bit more about it I have to call her and tell her I will definitely go.

Edit: Also applauding kraken13 for having good taste in music.
Well thank you very much.

We should blend this thread into what it is now and a Crosstawk Discover Music Project discussion thread also. There have been a few bands I have been turned on to because of it. I had heard Ben Folds before and listened to a few of his songs but after than episode I just fell in love with his music and really payed attention to the details. So talented....

So lets see who should I talk about today.... Andrew Bird! His newest LP Noble Beast is what I will talk about. He is a crazy talented musical who mostly uses the violin, guitar, and he whistles. He puts loop pedals to great use you can tell by that video of Oh No I linked. In Noble Beast he shows his great talent and the diverse sounds he can create. This LP is a bit more tamed down from some of his other work but shows a more mellow sound. You should check Andrew Bird out if you never have before. 8/10
