Nintendo Gaming / RE:The 'I got stuck' Thread...

Well, I finally made it past the Zora temple after about an hour of devoted gameplay. I got the double bomb bag upgrade...

Does anyone think the Wallet upgrade is needed to finish everything?  I skipped that

thanks guys, I'll give the suggestions a try. I'm taking a week off to catch up on some games, DVD's that have been piling up, and just plain old R and R .
I plan to finish Zelda this week, and maybe start over again on Metroid Prime . STILL have not gotten around to that game yet

Feel free to  merge or move where neccesary..

After finally getting some free time to pick up Zelda Twilight again, I realise I had not played the game since April 27th, according to the save file.  My, how time flies....  But, for the life of me, I can't remember how to get to Hyrule Town again.  I'm using the official Nintendo walkthrough guide, and I'm right before the Lakebed Temple on tear number 14 if memory serves.  All entrances I can find are blocked by either gates or rocks, and I can't remember how I got in last time.

Any help will be appreciated. I spent 40 minutes wandering the map trying to find a way in.  One reason why I hate free roaming games .

Thanks

I can't remember what star I'm up to, but like others, I am having more fun with this game than any other as of late.  It really is as close to a 2D game as one can get in  the 3D realm.  No bothersome side quests, no pointless exploring that doesn't add anything to the game.  Just straight out pick up and go fun.

I'm currently up to the third level, or what seems to be the underwater area.  Is the storybook thing something that is worth keeping up with, when more pages are unlocked?

Nintendo Gaming / Why no more TMNT VC games?
« on: December 30, 2007, 01:03:55 PM »
Did the original untouched Arcade Game for XBox live not sell well?   I still pray for the day when they release that and Turtles in Time for the Wii in multiplayer.  Makes up for the TMNT Movie game not being multiplayer, as far as I'm concerned .

I still may wind up getting an XBox for that, the new Ghostbusters game, and the brand new Pac-Man game that was released.  Not to mention the back catalog of Star Wars games that where never released on a Nintendo Console

I Only use AOL Radio because the last time I tried, XM Radio cut out after an hour of use.  I like too leave XM on all night...'On the Rock's station is great music to sleep to .

Already have it, but I can't find anything that blocks the full page adds.  Plus Firefox tends too muck up
AOL Radio when Adblock is installed

I love Nintendo World Report.   It's the only site I've found so far that really focuses on news daily... mind you I have not really gone looking all that much.  But, when a site gets too over run with adds, it ruins the fun.  One or two at the top I don't mind.  But when you highlight the forum link on the main page, and a pop thing that looks like an add shows up, then the add in the main article, and then the add in the right hand side of the article.  There is also, finally, an un-blockable add that pops up as it's own page whenever you click on a news item.  'NWR brought too you today, by..'

If you guys are trying too discourage new site visitors in order too drive traffic costs down, you're doing a good job .  In a way, it's almost counter productive.  the more adds you put on a page too try and stay active, the more visitors you loose too similair sites with less annoying adverts in place.

I'm off my soap box now, as I really don't want too have too find another reliable Nintendo site .

Later,
Neil

Most Cool mom indeed .

I only really need my parents help these days for driving.  If an area is too congested I get too nervous and the OCD kicks in, so I'm hardly an effective driver.  But as far as line waiting, I'm like the rest of you, as it's part of the experience . I  wish I had a relative who I could use as a backup, heh.

Although last year, I made the mistake of waiting in 40 degree weather with only a sweatshirt.  I normally don't mind cold weather, and will occasionally even go outside in shorts in ten degree weather too get the mail and bring in the garbage and not be bothered by it.  But in this case, 8 hours was a tad too much for even me .  Especially when the wind picked up later in the night.  I had too get over a quick cold before I could enjoy my wii .

Now watch as I burn down your villages and steal your turkeys ...........

the Spelling Brutes have entertteeedd townnn .

Not as annoying as the spelling police.  so screw me....I forgot too re-check it.

I remember at our launch, we had someone going up and down the line asking how many folks where getting Zelda and what extra games they where planning too purchase.  I must have been the only one who  was getting Drabonall Z with Zelda.  Since then I've only gotten two other games, Mario and TMNT.  I haven't had time too look at dbz yet, Zelda I'm halfway through, and TMNT I've beaten.  Mario is still being worked on, but I'm on the second Galaxy Dome already.

Unfortunately, I missed the pre-orders, since they where not really well advertised.  You had too be lucky too spot a message board posting or website update in time....

And of course, I've probably bought about 10 Virtual Console games by now .

12
Well, others had too be like me one year ago...

Getting out at 10 PM, staying about 8 hours in line for the stores too open, and getting your Wii.  You where probably figuring, 'ehh, it probably won't be as popular and will be easy too get later, but why take chances?'.

Boy, am I glad I went when I did.  Hard too believe but one year later, Wii is STILL hard too find.  Anyone going too desperate straights too try and secure one for the holidays?

See, in this day and age where time is at a premium, I don't mind easy games.  Especially when even the easy games take a few days too complete.

I kind of like the way this game is layed out... each section doesn't take too long too cover, there's so far been decent enough challenges and fun puzzles.... what more could one ask for?  I especially like the remixed classic music, and hope there is a 'DJ' option somewhere in the game..

Well, if it didn't get released till tomorrow at TRU, I got extremely lucky at K-Mart.  Very nice guy actually went back and checked for me in the warehouse.  Brought out a box that was half empty, and about 6 or so games left.  Guess it wasn't a waisted trip after all .

So, I still have a few Wii games too beat before I decide on this one...

Is the simplified style so good that you don't need a walkthrough too have fun with it, or is it tougher than a standard Zelda game?

Yeah, my bad. I noticed that after I hit submit.  You will notice it's right in the post.

If a Brain age Game improves your memory, could not the same tactic be applied too learning language?

If Nintendo can come up with a fun way too learn a language through a video game, be it Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, etc.....they'd have a huge hit on their hands.  I'd love too learn Spanish if only too understand some of the interesting looking shows on Telemundo

I saw a video online of Pokemon games, that I looked up just too see why so many people are into them.  What's the fun if the computer does most of the battling for you?
That's what I gather these new Battlenetwork games are like and it's why I never picked one up.

Who cares about the story.  It's a fricken' video game......give me more of Classic Megaman .

Where the hell are Turtles and Simpsons?  Will the Simpsons ever see a home release?

I've been holding off on HD DVD because it just looks like Sony is going to win this one at current.  The only thing this arrogant company needs to do is keep price current with HD DVD and they'd have a sure winner.  Even more if they'd get officially liscenced combo players going at an AFFORDABLE rate, not triple that of both combined..

I understand it's a loss of money selling them at the price they are now... but that's their fault for helping to cause a format war in the first place, as well as Toshiba...

The original was great.. it was just too dull with the same maze over and over again.  At least Mrs.Pac-Man added a bit of challenge and variety to it...

That's pretty much how I feel about 3D games these days..... I find most don't have allot of replay value due to the wandering around one does.  Heh, I was reading the Zelda 2 review on the front page, and how NWR says that towns and people being added was a good thing.  I hated that as a kid.  The townspeople always said useless stuff 99.5% of the game .

Angry Nintendo Nerd summoning: 'Why should I talk to you?  You never tell me anything useful!  Be Gone!'

The good games are the ones you feel you don't 'have to beat' but will pick up again and again just for fun.  Most 3D games just don't have that for me.

Have you played their final TMNT games?  Pure garbage for 1 and 2 on the GBA.  Pure Garbage for 1, 2, and 3 for the Gamecube.

whatever magic they had, it's long gone if the TMNT games are any indications...
