TalkBack / Re: Fanboyism, or Cutting off Your Nose to Spite Your Face

A good way to compare Honda to Sony is their F1 division as their games division. They are pretty much dead last, despite pouring billions of dollars into it, and buying staff from other F1 teams.

This is a much better analogy. See, Silks? It's not that people are saying that "Honda will stop making cars" it's more like saying "if Honda's F1 division continues racking up deficits for a long time, the board of executives could become tired of waiting for it to deliver on promises and decide it's not worth pursuing any longer". And that doesn't sound so crazy, does it?
Hah, nope. That's exactly what happened. Honda ended up giving up F1 altogether and selling their team. Under new management they went on to win the world championship the following year. I love old threads.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Dead Space Extraction

Dead Space Extraction is one of my favourite Wii games, in fact I like it more than Dead Space itself. The atmosphere is what makes it. I find it more of an on-rails adventure than a shooter, as it's so easy even in the most difficult settings, you can really sit back and take in the environments and atmosphere of what's happening. The Dead Space universe is pretty much what makes the game. I think it's a better game than Overkill and the REs, but not a better shooter, as the enemies get quite repetitive (like the original Dead Space) and the action is pretty tame and underwhelming. I'd like to see more games like Extraction.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Zelda Using Motion Sensor for Sword!

Well another concern now is that the game simply isn't good enough to stand on its own, they have to add all these sparkling innovation features in to try and mask the mediocrity. Let's hope that's not the case, but all signs point to this being the biggest disappointment of all time and the worst Zelda game ever.

Wow... the button wont be used at ALL for sword swinging now. Very questionable decision, now the primary gameplay method involves body movement in a huge game like this. I'd think Nintendo had lost their minds if the GC version didn't exist. GC version for me, I like to relax and feel immersed when i'm playing Zelda. I'm also glad they there wont be any graphical differences between the two, I can certainly feel good playing the bullshit free GC version now that I wont be missing out on anything.

If we adopt Nemos logic, then the PSP should be around $40. It's just an even SMALLER shrunk down GC, with even WORSE hardware, and it doesn't actually play GC games at all!
