Wow.

Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

That's really, really cool. I'm going to hold off until they figure out a way to get rid of the mirror, though .

Truly 3D gaming that's how it could change it =)

This really makes me remember the one episode of Robotech where Rick Hunter is in a bar or something and some guy challenges him to a table top video game. The cool part was at some point it changed form just being on a screen to the ships actually being projected in the air and fighting around the whole building.

I always remember that being super cool and I one day hope games can leap forth from our TV and be something like that.

That'd be a huge, really expensive display device though. GIANT SPINNING MIRRORS OF DOOM!!!

Also, Robotech rocks.

Neat, but the "holiest of sci-fi dreams"?  I don't think so.

That would either be Star Trek-esque teleporters or female love robots.
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

Fixed.

Sadly light saber technology is near impossible to reproduce without a massive machine . . .

That is so cool, but I wonder what would happen if you stuck your hand in there. (Also was I the only one that thought Wiimote when he was manipulating the image?).

I played holographic games back in the 80's  (Forget what it was called but it was circular and found in several arcades)

Stick your hand in there and you'll lose your arm.  It's still a nice start, though.

Eh, it's been said by like twenty people already.  I'll add this:  Odds are, that hand/arm will fly and break your TV screen.  Wrist straps will be recalled and stronger versions will once again be issued.
