In comparison, it just so much better than LucasArts material.

Nintendo Gaming / I got my rear whooped by Mario!

Damn he's really good. I know I don't have much practice but geez, some people are sure fire to runaway from. For someone's sake, he has 3 freakin' stars. It was still fun though.

If you've got more than 40% scanned then read the spoilers.

Yeah, I'm stuck already and I seriously need help.

I've got the light and dark beam, space jump boots or whatever they are called, the dark suit/armor, morph ball bombs but I can't seem to find what's next. The guardian told me to go to Torvus but I can't because apparently I need some other type of beam other than what I've got in order to open the passage. I think I need to get now the Super-Missile but I can't seem to find it.

General Chat / I need help on a subject about Windows 98!
« on: November 20, 2003, 02:38:06 PM »
This is the case:
A friend of mine recently tried to view some jpeg images on her computer and for some reason it gave an error saying that she needed a .exe program(strangely it didn't say which) to open such files. Well we both thought that maybe somehow Paint got uninstalled from Win98, but I can't confirm that as I don't have access to her PC and she isn't very PC savvy. So she thought that if she reinstalled Win98 that everything would be fine but a question raised to her and also me: If she Reinstalls Win98 will her files on the hard-drive be deleted? Can she pick the option to Repair rather than to Reinstall it?
I can't answer to those questions to her because I'm using WinXP.
Any help is apreciated, and thanks in advance!

Nintendo Gaming / About Epona from OOT
« on: November 14, 2003, 04:25:09 PM »
I'm not quite sure but I think I once read something about why the creators of OOT chose to name the horse Epona and they said that it was like that for no particular reason, it just sounded good. Well I have actually found the word Epona here: Origin of the name Epona. It seems to me that some guy in the R&D team that made OOT put that name on purpose and the creators don't know anything about it. What do you guys/gals think?

General Chat / Need help on the subject of VCD's!
« on: October 30, 2003, 10:19:55 AM »
A friend of mine requested me to burn some footage on a CD so that he could watch it on his TV through his DVD player. The footage is on *.avi and is 701MB in size. I burned one 700MB CD with that footage just for test and to see if my friend was pleased with the results, but neither me nor him liked the results. The original resolution of the footage is 640x272 but when using Ahead Nero to burn the footage as VCD it compresses it to about 653MB with a resulution of 5??x2??(can't remember exactly) and the burned CD also had some extra folders with some files in it(don't know what they do) and I think it was compressed into mpeg1(I think).

What I would like to know is if there is a way to burn that footage as it is(without loosing resolution) and still be able to watch it on his TV through his DVD player?

General Chat / Brokens Saints videogame trailer
« on: September 28, 2003, 06:06:11 AM »
It's at www.brokensaints.com. Looks like it's going to be a great game and that's because it's going to look similarly to Eternal Darkness. But it's only coming out in 2006 .

I have a 12V power supply from TurboLink model LC-A350ATX. It has 350 watts available(at least that's the information I got from the net as it has no label saying it). It also has a label with P4(pentium 4 I guess). What I want to add and want to know if it will all work is: ATI RADEON 9800 PRO 128MB AGP(I know from the specs that it needs 300 watts) and an extra hard drive of 120gigs. If having the extra hard drive is too much then maybe I should consider an external hard drive. The hardrive configuration that I have now is:

RAM - Elixir 512MB DDR 266MHz Cl2.5
Gaphic Card - ATI Radeon 7000 64MB TVO
Motherboard - Intel Type D845EBG2
Power Supply - 12V TurboLink model LC-A350ATX
Hard Drive - WDC(western digital caviar) 40gigs
Processor - Pentium 4 2.0GHz
DVD ROM 16x EIDE
CDRW 40x12x40
Monitor - Samsung 19 inch SyncMaster 955DF

If more information about my computer is needed then post the required info, and thanks in advance to anyone that replies.

Has anyone tried it yet? I have and finished it. It has two missions, one is on a beach and the other is inside some military installation. The military installation mission is quite harder than the one from the beach. If anyone wants to try it out just go here: XIII

General Gaming / Does OOT(Bonus Disc) support 480i?
« on: April 17, 2003, 07:47:17 PM »
I've recently bought Nintendo's official component cables and since I had some days off of school i was trying all my games to see how they were being displayed in 480i and when i tried OOT-Master Quest it looked normal visually but as soon as i moved Link around it felt less fluid then it was before with the s-video cables, all the other games work fine. Can anyone give me a hint to whats causing this?
