I hope everything works out, but if not, I hope you were at least able to tell your grandma how you feel about her.
My grandma has dementia and lives with us. She talks to the television all of the time, and she has tried to leave the house on many occasions, thinking she's going to weddings, out of town, etc. It's sad, because I remember how she used to be, and it's very disconcerting seeing this pale imitation of the woman I loved. I mean, I still love her, but she has gotten to be a bit of a bother for our family. It's painful to say that since it's not her fault, but it's how things ended up. I don't understand how one can live for 80+ years and their "reward" for doing so is a debilitating illness.
