Indie game Hyper Light Drifter will be getting a Wii U release if its next stretch goal is reached, according to the latest update on the game's Kickstarter page.

The game is a top-down action RPG title inspired by retro 8-bit and 16-bit graphics in which the lone protagonist, a Drifter, explores a vast world of ruins and forests in search of both treasure and a cure for a disease that haunts him. The campaign promises the game will draw elements from classic titles like Link to the Past and Diablo.

The initial funding goal has already been met, and so far every previous stretch goal has been reached. The Kickstarter campaign has but four days remaining and at the time of writing needs just under $71,000 to attain the Wii U release.
