Well, Dino Crisis 2 was crap. Dino Crisis 1 was good. From what I understand, Dino Crisis 3 is crap. Not looking forward to Dino Crisis 4.

Nintendo Gaming / Drought? What drought?

I buy games I enjoy. I have some games that are mostly rated 5s and 6es by the video game press, but I still love them. It's all just a matter of opinion. Don't let the press tell you what you should and shouldn't like.

Nintendo Gaming / Pokemon MMORPG

I agree with everything that Termin8Anakin said, EXCEPT for being able to actually talk orders to your Pokemon. In order for that to happen, Nintendo would have to make a near-perfect voice reconision software, something that has been never done before to my knowladge.

Nintendo Gaming / Give me Mario Kart or give me death
« on: February 08, 2003, 04:12:36 AM »
I need Mario Kart. I need it now. BTW, the new aspect may either be ONLINE, diffrerent types of vehicles, a new character to the Mario world, or OLD SCHOOL POWERUPS. You get a feather, and then your car can fly, you grab a frog suit and you can take shortcuts underwater, etc, etc.

Uglydot, that would 0wn .... kinda like Banjo Kazooie but without all that accursed collecting. And of course, set in what appears to be a game in space.

Game: Super Mario Brothers 3
System: NES
Date: 1989 i think

This game brought platforming to a whole new level. The levels are still among the best designed levels ever in videogame history, the powerups were extremely creative for the time, and many are still creative today. The levels were packed full of secrets, and all this is presented with a pretty good diffuculty. You must play this game.

I've heard that same thing said by a top guy at XBox. Saying "we want your grandma to be able to play", and they obviously haven't had much luck with that. The fact is talk is cheap, it seems only the PS2 has been able to even partly deliver to a large main stream audience.

Yeah, I was flipping through channels, and there was some xbox dude selling xboxes on QVC, and he kept talking about how Amped, the pack-in game has "the most realistic graphics" and how many "bits" the Xbox has, and how this is "the" holiday gift. The persons ignorance bothered me. Bits don't matter. There are much better graphics than Amped on ANY console. And "the" holiday gift is what "the" kid wants. The guy even gave that QVC girl the controller, and they didn't show the screen at all while she was holding the controller.

--DISCLAIMER-- I have nothing vs the Xbox, its just that the guys ignorance/arrogence annoyed me to no end.

General Gaming / Wavebird Question
« on: February 02, 2003, 01:30:39 PM »
Yeah, Matt is right. I always screw around with my brother by turning on the wavebird while holding the stick in some odd direction. I still dont think he caught on to turning off the Wavebird.

Nintendo Gaming / Will Zelda: Wind Waker break sales records?
« on: February 02, 2003, 01:28:31 PM »
I think that it WILL surpass OOTs sales, mostly because GC already has a fairly large userbase, and Metroid, Zelda, and Mario on the same platform may draw in some older gamers who want to relive the NES and SNES days.

General Gaming / So... who's into Orta?

Orta is among the games that makes me really want an Xbox, but I don't have the cash to lay down for one.

Nintendo Gaming / Sonic Adventure DX
« on: February 02, 2003, 01:23:28 PM »
Aretek, I just said in my mind. Right now I'm pretty sure that either SOA:L, Wind Waker, or F-Zero would be my top contenders, unless Nintendo pumps out some great original franchises this year. But I really enjoy all Sonic games, and am really looking forward to SA: DX.

(EDIT for spelling)

Nintendo Gaming / Anybody else looking forward to TMNT game?
« on: February 02, 2003, 01:21:59 PM »
All I hope is that Konami doesn't screw the game over and just make a POS sequal just to cash in on the Turtle hype. I still play my NES Turtle game, and it's great. But because it just may be crap, I'm holding out for reviews before I buy the game.

Why did Joyride make Samus their crappiest figure by far. All the other ones are so high quality, and all together good, but Samus looks like ... crap to tell the truth.

It's definatly much MUCH more of a standard RPG. The battles are practicly nothing like Zelda's.

Nintendo Gaming / Sonic Adventure DX
« on: February 02, 2003, 01:13:02 PM »
SA: DX is already on my Must Buy list. If they upgrade the Chao, theres a GOTY contender in my mind. I was one of the few who really enjoyed SA2:B, and I loved the little of SA that I played on my friends Dreamcast. So, pretty much, I definatly want it.
