Help me ( I have serious problems )
« on: May 19, 2004, 10:12:48 PM »
O.K

I live in Australia as most of you know. Now in Austrailia Raw ( WWE ) is on Fridays - 3 days later than the US. Now im not sure why but I always have an urge to find out what happened by checking out this site nodq.com.

I want to be able to ban myself from visiting this site. Is there a way I could do that? Even better is there someway I can ban myself from the site in-between Tuesdays and Sundays?

I know most of you are gonna say just dont go on the site but ...its like a drug. You keep going back ...HELP ME.

No you got the wrong idea.

I need some sort of program that can stop me from going into certain sites.

Thanks for the help though. This site is better than nodq.

Add "nodq.com 127.0.0.1" to your HOSTS file. That'll redirect any requrest you make to that site to your own computer instead, which has no f***ing clue what it should do with an incoming HTTP connection. Unless you're running an Apache, then you're going to see "File not found".

This is what you do, ak.

1. Get around behind your computer case (where all the plugs are)
2. See a big black (or grey) plug going into the back near the top? That's an important one. Pull that out.

That should fix your problem

Search for a file called "hosts" (no extension) in your Windows directory. Open it with a text editor. Notice the instructions? Any site you don't want can be mapped to 127.0.0.1 (localhost, your computer). If the instructions are missing from your file, just write the name of any websites you don't want anymore and "127.0.0.1", separated by a space or tab.
