Caterkiller is a daddy.
« on: March 23, 2012, 10:02:44 PM »
I Caterkiller am now a happy father! Her name is Raine, but for months I honestly tried to think of some Nintendo name that wouldn't sound odd in real life. Hip hip Hooray! I shale now celebrate her birth with the rebirth of Kid Icarus. I enjoyed the controls of Metroid prime hunters.

Zelda is a normal name, Miyamoto named her after Zelda Fitzgerald. I would argue that Zelda sounds less odd than Raine, but Raine is a nice name too.

Congrats on becoming a father.  :D

My girl is upset at the name you chose though.... She was thinking of using the same name only in spanish.

Raine in Spanish is still Raine. If you mean Rain, she wanted to use Lluvia?

yes. rain in spanish. The pronunciation, not the spelling.

But Caterkiller, I hope to see a pic or something soon.

Thanks guys! Man how time flies! When I look back at my first posts here I sure didn't expect my life to go anything like this. Planned parent hood with a wife that's 13 years older than me! I think I was about 14 or 15 when I started here and back then I considered marriage and children a sin.

Congratulations Caterkiller! Raine is a cute name for a girl. One Piece is still out there, so don't forget to pass on that knowledge to her that's my way of saying that you should infuse her with all your awesome way of being, so she grows up to be another awesome person.

Your daughter is an arcade machine emulator! You could have gone with MAME, but Raine is a little more underground. Nice work.

Also, congratulations, and that is a pretty cool name. Welcome to the NWR dad club.

Again thank you all. I think i'll be a good dad with a little fun on the side, though I don't play when kids act up.

Any of you dads with older kids, do you play games with them? Due to the cutesy nature of Nintendo characters I hope she enjoys them with me. With one piece i haveno worries, by the time its over she will be at least 12 years old, so we can finish the story together, thats going to be fun!

I play NSMBWii with my daughter. She has a DSi also. Once she turned 5, I turned her into a gamer.

Cougar cubs are soooo cute....

Second best post in the thread..

Best one of the thread ;)

Congrats Cat'! I wish I was around the first day you announced it, I actually feel kinda bad being late! Kids are a joy, not that I have any of my own yet, but I always have new little nieces and nephews popping out.

In fact my most recent niece is only like 2 months old. Getting to see her isn't the same as what you're experiencing - it's a whole lot better. You'll be a great dad, I know it.

PS: Raine

Every time I read the title of this thread, I can't help but think 'Cat Daddy'. Yeah, I know...it's a terrible song.
