viral exploit at nintendojo.com
« on: December 15, 2006, 11:42:01 AM »
It seems the nintendojo.com server was compromised somehow late on the 13th, there was a 0x0 iframe to some server with an ADODB exploit (a reasonably old IE vulnerability). Also there appear to be lots of junky search results in their domain, searching for the following line (which searches only nintendojo.com, and eliminates all their normal pages from the results):

site:nintendojo.com -"a site to see" -"printer friendly format" -"news headlines"

searching that on either yahoo or google shows the search spam (I would suggest not clicking any of those search results though)

At this point their domain doesn't resolve (via dns) to an ip address, but the server itself is still up and running. Does anyone have any idea what is going on there or have any social connections to them (other than via email, which may not be working with the dns down), and could see what's going on, and if they know they are compromised?
