Nintendo Gaming / RE:Square considering Final Fantasy ports
« on: July 28, 2004, 02:19:53 PM »
i would say to bring them all over- they are all great games- i would love to see personally final fantasy 3, 4, and 5 and chrono trigger the most- mana comes next and then the saga series followed by front mission- but i say bring em' all- you can never have enough right???

i played the demo of the game- it seemed alright- the battle system is kinda funky at first, but once you realize its all about timing and not about button combos then it becomes rather fun- but from what i have heard the game is short (which doesnt bother me- one of my favorite rpgs is breath of fire dragon quarter) and the story isnt too great but if the gameplay could hold up then i might give it a try

personally this is my most anticipated rpg right now for the year (with star ocean 3 very close behind)
i love the look of this game- and the battle system looks very cool- not card based as some think it is- the cards themselves represent attacks- some represent items for healing, ect..
say you play a sword attack card (regular attack) then add a fire card your attack would be one attack with the fire element added- if you add fire and water together, the result would be that the elements counter act eachother and thus null the attack causing less damage- it seems to be a very interesting system- and i really cant wait for it to arrive- last i heard the game was supposed to come out in november- but dont hold me too it- now back to tales of symphonia!

what's up grey- long time no see

this is the best i could do for you- http://www.password-crackers.com/service.html
the site guarantees the cracking of any encrypted file in a few days- read up about it- it does cost some money though

this site also- http://www.lostpassword.com/decryption-service.htm
the cost is high though- unfortunately i am not too good on cracking passwords and junk like that

i'll keep looking for you though

"I thought that maybe this would be a good place to ask for suggestions? I would like to focus on earler, less CGI-based games than some of the modern ones, and I don't think that studying any more than 6-7 games would a realistic goal."

i like the list of rpgs you have going- but i would definately suggest any game by tri-ace
personally i think they are the best rpg developer out there right now- they have so many fresh ideas for rpgs including great battle systems- i would definately look into star ocean (snes), star ocean the second story (ps1) and valkyrie profile (ps1) all three of those are great unique rpgs- all have great battle systems, music, graphics- you name it- i always figured that a great battle system makes a great rpg- i would also suggest chrono trigger, any tales game, and earthbound

« on: April 25, 2004, 06:22:33 PM »
"I've never played Halo. Is it just like every other FPS, or does it have features that distinguish it from the rest?"

no special features- it just does what other shooters have done in the past- except it does it with excellent results- it took a few things from half-life (i.e. story progression) but made a flavor of its own- you can only carry 2 weapons at a time- it seems weird but i liked it- and the vehicles are a wonder to drive- i loved halo as much as anyone- but i really dont see why it is hyped up as the greatest game ever- it does a lot of things right- and it is a ton of fun- but i wouldnt call it the best game ever as others may lead you to believe

i just noticed something interesting- at www.zoonami.com their web page is being refurbished- could it mean that they are going to show off "game zero" soon? who know's but i hope so

kill bill volume 2 was an excellent flick- i loved every second of it-
tarantino goes back to his roots and writes what he is very very good at- interesting and entertaining diologue
there are many funny quotes in the movie- and i thought the fight scenes in this movie with the killers were better than the ones in volume one- the elle driver scene was great- i will say this- this is my second favorite tarantino flick right behind pulp fiction

spurs- tim duncan- enough said

"but if The Bride isn't in it, then who will she be taking revenge on?"

i think the bride will be in the movie, but she will not be the major focus of the movie- the bride would play a role like o'ren- in the movie, but only for the large fight scene

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Favorite Game Discussions!
« on: April 12, 2004, 05:16:51 PM »
metroid prime for me- hands down one of the best games to come out in recent years and one of my favorites ever- i love wind waker- its art style, gameplay, story- but everyone knew that it would turn out great- not the case with prime- with all the problems retro had during their developement of the game, who knew how the game could have turned out- i had faith they would do the metroid series justice and that is just what they did- it felt like i was playing super metroid in 3d- i can say with out a doubt that this is the best game of this generation of consoles, in my opinion-and i love metroid!!!

"Okay its pretty much confirmed that Legend of Golfer translated properly is Legend of Ness as in EARTHBOUND."

don't make me pull out the protractor on your ass- that or the toothbrush- god i hope this is true!

« on: April 11, 2004, 05:59:05 PM »
i played it- its lots of fun but one problem keeps me from buying this game- the redicuously long load times- between rooms and areas- its rediculous- way way too long, although i have heard that the hard drive reduces the load times

"I wonder if Tarantino will be able to make this one not suck goat balls? Because the first one kinda did."

you didnt like the first one- i loved it- it was a great film, and i thought it was pure tarantino- very stylish- but i heard that volume 2 is even better than vol. 1- i love tarantino- his movies are complete genius- pulp ficition is my favorite movie of all time, if not that, its in my top 2 or 3- have you ever seen that movie- i highly suggest it- just be prepaired for lots and lots of swearing

who's waiting for this movie???
the first one was great- i loved every minute of it- and i cant wait for the second one- who thinks this movie will kick ass

on a side note- i love tarantino, and i love his movies- he may be my favorite director

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Final Fantasy:Guilty Wing???
« on: March 22, 2004, 10:28:32 AM »
i will say about random battles that i am not bothered by them, but i would rather have a game without them
but has anyone realized that the rpgs without random battles are usually the ones with really great battle systems- for example the grandia series, mario rpg series, chrono trigger, earthbound, and one of my favorite rpgs of all time- valkyrie profile- of course there are some exceptions- some of the tales series games have random battles, but the battle system was very fun
