When even a hardcore Mario fanboy like me stops buying Mario Party games, it's time for a change to the formula. I fully recognize and even applaud that.

But the changes in Mario Party 9 sucked.

Might go see the "Carrie" remake.

If you value your money that little, you might as well donate it to Obama. It'll still go to a piece of crap, but you won't have to leave the house.

One would think the original LoZ would be deemed totally "overhyped" considering its placement on these lists vs how fun the game actually is.

It's more fun than anything made after WW, that's for sure.

Sony and Microsoft don't like to acknowledge that the other one exists.

Yes, Bane is one of them.

It's always nice to see lesser known characters utilized like this. That was one of the great things about "Batman: The Brave and the Bold". I mean, yes, we all love the Joker, but he's getting really overexposed right now, and familiarity breeds contempt. Look at Bowser in the Mario series. We're all getting just a little bit tired of him by now, aren't we?

By all means, give us some new characters to contend with. It doesn't always have to be Joker, Penguin, Joker, Joker, Catwoman, Joker, Riddler, Joker.

Like in Metroid Prime 3?

You missed Lady Shiva, who has been revealed as one of the assassins.

And even though you mentioned Anarky in your opening, you still neglected to elaborate on him within the article.

So was the 2003 TMNT show. At least until the last couple of seasons, when their budget ran out.

You didn't grow up with the Ninja Turtles? What are you, sixty?

NOA is too busy deciding what worthless, 30-year-old NES launch title they're going to put on the VC next.

I condone vigilantism when the target is appropriate. Y'know, like what those parents did to Freddy in "A Nightmare on Elm Street". Or when the Punisher kills gangsters and drug dealers.

And Batman should have killed the Joker years ago. Seriously. I don't know how he can look at himself in the mirror knowing that the Joker is alive because he permits it.

Nintendo is my favorite console maker and developer and even I find myself being cynical towards them these days.

Me too, on both counts. I just find it depressing and demoralizing to actually vocalize it. I want Nintendo to do better, but listening to consumer complaints is something that Nintendo has hardly ever done. In some cases, though, I don't think it's entirely Nintendo's fault. Take third party support, for example. Yes, Nintendo has made some bad decisions over the years that have alienated third parties, but I honestly believe that a lot of the problems these days lie with third party prejudices. As far as I can tell, there is absolutely NOTHING Nintendo could do at this point to court more third party support. No matter what they did to change themselves and their policies, the negative attitude has been sown too deep. If Nintendo wants a GTA game on their console, they'll have to buy exclusive publishing rights, like they did with Bayonetta 2. Nothing short of that would ever make a company like Rockstar budge.

So, yes, Nintendo is partly at fault, but third parties are gigantic pricks, and they can all blow me.

Well, that's good, at least. Unlike most of the other commenters I see here, I don't bust a gut laughing every time Nintendo gets poked in the eye.

Why should Beyond Good & Evil 2 be released for Wii U? You're all apparently convinced that the Wii U is going to go the way of the Dreamcast anyway.  :@

Well, maybe next time they have a Wii U exclusive to release at a dead time of the year, they'll do it, instead of turning tail and running into the arms of a bunch of unreceptive Xbox fanboys. Cry me a river for those lying creeps.

And Rayman Legends sold about as well as Bibles in Saudia Arabia. I guess Ubisoft learned a painful lesson there.

With just a month to go before release, Ubisoft crapped their pants when they saw the absolutely insane sales for GTA V and decided to delay Watch Dogs so that people would actually buy it. Simple as that. Don't give me this quality control BS.

I only want a new Metroid game if it's like Metroid Prime. If it's not like Metroid Prime, then Samus can stick to the SSB series for all I care.

TalkBack / Re: Sonic and the Story of a Franchise Reborn
« on: October 16, 2013, 02:44:10 PM »
Bullcrap. "Sonic Colors" and "Sonic Generations" were both mediocre games at best, but desperate fans hail them as the Second Coming simply because they weren't terrible. The Sonic games were never that good in the first place; they were just technically impressive alternatives to Super Mario Bros. And, like any franchise built primarily on gimmicks, Sonic has been completely 0wned by the passage of time, and it didn't start with Sonic '06. Face it, the Sonic Adventure games have aged about as well as dead fish. And if fans weren't satisfied with what Sega tried to do with "Sonic the Hedgehog 4", then I simply don't believe them when they say they want to get back to Sonic's roots. No, their problem is Sega shows them Sonic's roots, and they're forced to see how flimsy those roots are.

It may also be a reaction to the sales of Rayman Legends in a competitive time of year,

Well, we all know whose fault that is, don't we?
