« on: April 10, 2014, 08:02:00 AM »

Play with your Miis in fun ways and experience them like never before!

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/37127/tomodachi-life-announced-for-the-western-market

Tomodachi Collection has been officially announced for the west. This was revealed during an unexpected Nintendo Direct presentation today.

Internally developed by Nintendo, Tomodachi Life has players' Mii characters perform everyday tasks, make friends, get married, and just live another life. The game makes use of the system's SpotPass and StreetPass features to enhance the experience and Miis from the game can be shared, complete with outfit, through a QR code.

The game will launch on June 6 this year and will be available at retail and as a download from the Nintendo eShop.

Samus is right, Shibata is definitely superior.

A very good commercial by the way.

Really happy this is coming over. I love games like this. With this, Animal Crossing, and tomorrow Disney Magical World, my 3DS XL is getting a lot of action!

And it's not even all of them.

I heard some really good things about Fantasy Life from Level-5 -- it was described as mashup of Dragon Quest and Animal Crossing.

Yep, yep! I was just mentioning the localized ones that interested me.
I hope for a localization of Fantasy Life!

Why should I care? It's just another lame-looking 3DS game. Whatever. Besides, we've known this game was coming to NA for months since the Wall Street Journal leaked it.
There was a Signature here. It's gone now.

I can't be the only person who keeps seeing reading the name of this game as "Tamogotchi".  I don't care for the Miis anyway and I general find life sims pretty dull.  If I found everyday tasks thrilling I probably wouldn't bother to play videogames.  The only reason a game like Harvest Moon attracts my attention is because I'm NOT a farmer.  I'd rather rescue princesses and save the world.

But why not localize it?  With the whole Rainfall thing it seemed like NOA was becoming stingy on localizing games and I encourage them going in the other direction.

NoA's Tomodachi Direct video for this is one of the most funny I've seen from them. Some of the editing timing is perfect, enhancing an already amusing game. One of the best clips they've done since Grill Off Ultra Hand for WiiWare.

I feel like I had this fever dream this morning when I saw this early this morning. I was already sleep addled and was not ready for something this japanese and demanded knowing who in the hell at the Treehouse lobbied for this game to get a localization.

I also otlined wanting a Rhythm heaven mini-game based on the concert interview part of the video where Sytheziser voiced Mii Reggie says things like "Tomodachi!" and "Kanichiwa Mini-san!" when you hit the buttons.
