3DS - Kid Icarus Uprising
« on: November 26, 2014, 01:14:43 PM »
Hi there !

I'm really new here and I wondered if anyone was still playing that game. I took it back a few days ago, but I didn't want to ''up'' one of those 2012 topics so I hope I'm not being bad on my first day here!

What did you guys think about this game, did you collect those AR cards too?

I have three new sealed series 1 cards to exchange for series 2 boosters if anyone is interested :-)

Hi conurebleu! Welcome to NWR's forums!

I absolute LOVED Kid Icarus: Uprising. I don't play it anymore since so many newer games take up my time, along with more important things like real life, but I was addicted to the game for a good while. The controls took getting used to, and I'm glad I'm not left-handed, or my enjoyment would have been considerably less than it was. The game was written well, had terrific action, wonderful music, and SO MUCH CONTENT!

As for the AR cards, there wasn't really any way to collect them easily, so I pretty much gave up on doing so. I still have and admire the ones I have regardless.

Don't be a stranger on the forums!

Amazing story and characters, great gameplay, solid multiplayer, hundreds of achievements extending replayability to infinity.

What a rollercoaster of a game.

This game checks out all modern AAA checkboxes (third person shooter, fully voiced characters and story, online multiplayer and endless loot) but it's actually good.
Winners don't hate and W101 rocks

The story was amazing, not spoiler anymore I guess after two years, being knowing only a bit about the first game I knew it would end at Medusa, I was disappointed when I saw that then...HADES!!! Man that was nice!

I also got emotive in Chapter 18. With the dog and the girl.

third person shooter right, but it was well done
Fully voiced : the voices in english are better than the japanese ones :O
Hundred of achivement (don't say it don't say!!! I'll ahve to do them someday T_T)

Also the boxing was soooo nice and full of color. Outer box, stand, beautiful faces inside the game case, booklet presence everything was so nice! :-)

I've got an e-mail about the AR cards, didn't know you guys could directly write to me! Well I guess there's no problem! I can give you guy my awsome excel folder where I repertoriated every cards I miss and every cards I have as double as well as I separated the Basic set from Serie 1 and serie 2 cards. Feel free to use this excel document as you wish, I put so much effort into this!

It all started when someone on a forum asked me if I saw a list on internet about the cards...finding nothing I did it myself. That was long XD

Sadly I am left handed. I got to borrow it from my sister for a bit and could never get the hang of the controls. I would go for a remake on the Wii U with pointer controls or an option to twin-stick the game.

Man that was random!

So I guess nobody here still collect those cards?

I made someone in one of my french course buy this game. She's going to love it!

I have a Circle Pad Pro to solve the lefty problem. The controls still aren't great though, it feels like a game designed for the Wiimote forced into a touchscreen. But I feel there is a weird disconnect when using the touchscreen since the reticule and enemies do not actually appear on the touchscreen, so I opt for the button controls.

I've never even opened the cards that came with the game. Or the cards I got from Club Nintendo. I wonder if these cards are worth anything...

People do sell them. But I am against that. Every cards I have were from trade and I'm kind of proud about this :-) I hope I can finish my collection out of trades alone!
