Just found out today, the disc and box of Wind waker is gold. go here http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/adventure/legendofzeldathewindwaker/screenindex.html and click on the small thumb nails to get a larger picture. What do you think of the boxart and disc?

Wow I found this out like months ago. I think IGN reported it.

It's nice to see Nintendo is still doing the gold thing though. They very easily could have not done this and because of the disc medium most of us wouldn't have cared.

I hope they do this for any new GBA Zeldas and with the shiny gold plastic like the NES games had instead of the dull gold used for the N64 games.

he's asking if it is a limited time only. The gold n64 carts were a limited time so the gold disc may be a limited time.

Well I think it's fugly too, so there. I really wouldn't want it any other way. It's tradition. I also think they could have done it better, maybe injected some highlights, gone with a better etching effect, etc. I like it, but it's fugly.

Of course I haven't seen it in real life, so I may have to eat my words, but from the pictures I do declare it fugly, perhaps even butt-fugly.

In the realm of disks that look better, are you talking about any disk or just GODs? As GC disks go, I'd have to say I prefer both the oot bonus disk and the Eternal Darkness disk. As all disks go, you can't beat Blue Oyster Cult: Cult Classic, that's a sweet looking disk.

Ian: What are you talking about? IGN reported it like a week ago at the earliest.

IGN also reported in their Q&A today that EVERY disc will be gold- no more limited thing.

Also, the Vice City disc is UGLY. Just that bad drawing of a girl in a bikini- not stylized or cool at all.

I still the the disc looks good. I don't see what there is to complain about. You got your gold, your game logo, the cool characters... I mean, what were you expecting?

I do have one bone to pick, however. The box... i think it look better before they added the lines going toward the center. It's not a big deal though, I still think it looks good.

I just wanted to say: I think PGC's screenshots look ALOT better, the Gamespot shots make the disc look too yellow (I think it is the bad lighting)
