http://www.starfoxarmada.com/  has opened up.  Tell me what you think of the new logo and what you think might be in the game.  I have a idea that this might be a co-op game.  Cause Armada means something like a fleet.

A quick look at the properties reveals that the url is really http://rpg.itinaris.be/ which doesn't sound to me like an offical Nintendo Web Site.  Plus a real Nintendo site would have copyright info and whatnot at the bottom.  It looks cool but it's a fake.

If this is really is not from Nintendo, I wonder if the person who made the site would get in trouble for cyber-squatting?(sp)

Is Armada the official title of the next game, cause I always thought it was a name the press gave it. I dunno. Either way, as long as it lives up to Star Fox 64, and doesn't bring back any painful memories of the terrible Arwing levels of SFA, I'll be happy.

Even though it’s probably not the official Star Fox Armada site, it looks interesting. I can’t wait to see it when it’s done!

It will hopefully/possibly have a multiplayer mode and be two player co-op.  Those are my opinions.

Well as far as I knew Star Fox Armada was the official title of the next Star Fox game. The Namco team responsible for the Ace Combat series is working on SFA. I've played the Ace Combat series and I like the series a lot. Ace Combat plays nothing like Star Fox though. I remember the lead designer at Namco thats heading up Star Fox Armada's development because of the freedom it would give him. He said that with Ace Combat he had to concentrate on realism since they were using actual fighter jets, but with Star Fox's fantasy setting he would have more latitude. So lets hope everything turns out okay. I'm confident that it will though....as I said I love Ace Combat. I just hope Falco is in the game.....oh and a Star Wolf return would be cool too.

If Matt from IGN can be believed, then we'll be getting our co-op in Star Fox Armada

There is a way to find out who owns it. But right now its the middle of night and I have a headache....

But yes Armada is the name they are currently working with. Co-Op would be nice. It would also be nice if it supported networking like Nintendo is hinting at.

Just that teaser page is starting to make me drool.
And that logo looks pretty tasty.

But what's this about the URL?
I think it's just a link to the server of where the pics are stored. Why the hell would someone fake this and make links to Nintendo of America and Namco's sites?
Don't worry.
I think everything's gonna be just fine.

that logo is quite cool
I like simple logos
sorta radiates this simple outside but cool inside thing

I like to think that the fancier and eyecatchier the design is, the worse the game is and the design is supposed to hide flaws

this is just a wierd assumption but it might be true

Sometimes it is for the smaller development houses. But most of the time they just throw it out as is. I don't have any worries for this title. I'm sure Nintendo will not let it be released if its sub par.

The new game storyline could be that the Starfox crew decided to recruit more people to protect the Lylat system.  Then you make your own character and train to earn your wings.  Then once your done learning you can join countless people protecting other systems.  Might be a little hard to have people join mid battle.  I don't know what they'll do though.  This is a Triforce game so it has to do with the Arcade machine as well.

When i saw the starfox armada link, i immediately entered the site and for my surprize the site is unnoficial
after the disapointment, i started an investigation about this site:
1st. The obvious part:
The site is hosted in Belgium (.be). Duh!
2nd. Info about www.starfoxarmada.com:
This domain is registered in www.bnamed.be
3rd. Info about rpg.itinaris.be:
if you remove the rpg part, you will see the main site(actually its just the logo)
surprisingly the logo is very alike the SSB logo
4th. Info about the owner of itinaris.be
Name: Joeri Vlekken
Address:  Kerkomdorp 112
               3800 Sint-Truiden
               Belgium
(i have his email but for privacy reasons i will not reveal it)

My guess is that the game will be a RTS, where you control a large amount of ships in tactical battle. Thats just the vibe I get from it.

I hope they have a nice mixture of free roaming and rail shooter levels. And tank levels too, and maybe an underwater stage aswell.
But the thing im most anticipated about this game is the multiplayer.

i never really liked the underwater level in the n64 starfox but the tank levels are gud, i wud love to see a co-op mode, one team member cud cover u by takin out the enemy whilst the other trys to take care of the objective (say erm blowing up summit), the free flyin levels are really good in lylat wars especially the independence day style level, i really am hoping for more of the free roamin levels, top notch visuals wudnt be bad either especially if they match those seen in f-zero gc.

I very highly doubt that you will control more than one ship.  Due to the nature of starfox (flight sim/shooter) and the plot (they're mercenaries, not part of an army).  There are rumors of co-op and multiplayer modes, but a strategy game is painfully unlikely.
