I really doubt I would upgrade to that. Unless it's going to be the only Nintendo handheld for another 3 years.

Does it matter if the DSi stylus is different? That case comes with both the styluses and stylus holders :p

As far as I can tell, those are also the same styluses I got for registering Brain Age 2. Mine didn't come in such a classy case though.

Confirmed.

Quote
The DSi's stylus is slightly longer, so we took the above photo to compare the two. Honestly, we didn't notice during gameplay.

There's a picture comparison at the site I linked to (second picture).  It's not a big difference, but they're definitely shaped differently so I doubt the DS Lite stylus will fit in the DSi slot.

i rather the cards be actual playing cards not hafenda or whatever. That will be neato.

Bowser would be King
Toad will be Joker
Peach would be Queen
Mario would be Jack
Ace / 1 would be Luigi
10 would be Wario
9 would be Yoshi
8 would be gumba
7 would be a shyguy
6. would be a turtle
5. would be a starman
4. would be a red/white mushroom
3. would be fire flower
2. would be a ? box

that wiimote holder seems lame, and i already have a stylus set for doing some survey way back in the day

MAV history lesson,

The first thing Nintendo ever made was Hanafuda cards in the 1800's.

i know, but in America maybe .001% of the population can play that game. I want something to collect that is ALSO PRACTICAL.

There are playing cards:

I think the hanafuda cards are really classy, though.

That game is in club house games too for DS . I tried to play it. Doesn't seem to difficult but THE GAME CONCEPT IS ALIEN TO ME

When I saw that first time I instantly thought " mario party ds e-reader cards" so I dismissed them. I would like to see more of those cards to consider purchasing them. It doesn't seem like regular playing cards just a bunch of cards that make a picture, not sure though

While I do think the Hanafuda cards are awesome, I also think that a set of "normal" playing cards (a "French Deck" I guess) with a similar degree of cleverness would also be nice. The Mario Party ones aren't very classy, that's for sure.

Then just get the animal crossing ones or mario party ones and stop bitching, the hanafuda ones are awesome because they are different and the art on them is fantastic, even if your not going to play with them the hanafuda cards would make a pretty collector's item.

Got my Game & Watch today.  Man, the hours I wasted back in the day playing the real original Donkey Kong Game & Watch are coming back to me now.  Nice to have it back on two screens the way it's supposed to be played (the GBA version was never able to really capture the full game.)  And it was FREE!  FREE!! Muhahaha!

I just need 90 more coins to reach the platinum status. That's just two more of Nintendo's Wii games, I'm sure I'll buy that before June. Or maybe I'll make it three DS games.

I find myself strangely curious as to what the gift you get for platinum status is. Would hoping for a game be ill-advised? Something like the Game And Watch Collection... Maybe a "sequel" to it or something...

When did you place your order? Since you live relatively near my area it took them about 4 days to process the order, they shipped my copy on the 18th and I got my copy last friday via UPS but because of the holiday season it might of delayed it by a few days.

Here are some platinum rewards for japan from previous years.

06 http://kotaku.com/gaming/wii_mote/its-a-tv-remote-its-a-wii+mote-no-its-a-tv-remote-207030.php

07 http://michaeldowney.net/club-nintendo-hanafuda/

08 http://michaeldowney.net/club-nintendo-member-gifts-2008/

Since it looks like America's Club Nintendo is more similar to Japan than Europe's we should be getting some really good stuff for Platinum Members.

by the way when you buy something doesn't that change your status ? so all those who bought Game and Watch collection mean your NO LONGER Platinum members since you need to have x amount of coins to Y status ? So if you got 900 points and you take away 800 for Mr. game and watch that means your no longer a platinum member ? or am i mistaken
