Connection loss. And thus why I take a snooze after every quest.

I'll stay in the second city.  Anyone who wants to play with me can come on in.  City 6.

Whoa. The bowgun ain't bad when you have a melee partner taking the monster's attention away from you. Not sure I would ever get one of my own though.

I'm bummed I missed this. Once school ends I'll hopefully be hopping in more.

Well, I have to miss the next two Tuesdays due to vacation (fun!), and a overnight lab visit (not fun).  Especially with the DLC in the coming months, I know that I'll plan to participate for quite a while.  I was able to add 6 people to my friend's roster last night, and I was excited about that.  Maybe I'll see you guys online sometime soon.

I haven't been able to level up as much as some, so my main goal last night was to help out as a could while not dying.  I wasn't entirely successful unfortunately; I think I got my clock cleaned twice.   One of those times, the bird (forgot his name) shot me once while I was trying to heal myself.

Overall, I had fun, and I was glad to play with some familiar names here.   I look forward to doing it again in a few weeks.

Lindy, I wasn't in your group, but I expect to hear some epic tales on RFN this week.  Embellishment of the exploits of your crew is encouraged!  lol.

Last night was a lot of fun!  It was great playing with you all.

I wish more than 4 players could join the same city.  They could of kept it 4 per quest, but allow 12 people or more to talk and form other quest groups in the same city.  They could of also used the City Gate as a lobby were everyone could meet up and chat.  Ah well...

One thing is for sure, Royal Ludroth can be a royal pain in the ***.

I have to figure out how to trap monsters, since some quests specifically ask for that.

I have to figure out how to trap monsters, since some quests specifically ask for that.

The monsters generally start limping when near death.  At that time you set a trap (1 is provided in the quest box), and when the monster walks into the trap, you throw tranq bombs at it (also provided in the quest box).

If you mess up, you are out of luck unless you complete a sub-quest, which I think provides you another trap and set of tranqs.   You can also bring extra traps and tranqs with you before starting the quest.

Learned one trick on youtube that pays off. If the monster runs off & takes a nap(aka near death) you can set the strap right next to him without waking him. It'll set off once you finish placing it.

Right, when they're sleeping, you can set traps and tranq 'em, or if you wake them up while sleeping with an attack, from what I've read, you get bonus stuff.  Spotting a sleeping boss, later on, can be a bit difficult.  Anyway, I'm going to go eat some food, but then I'll be playing again, so if you think you might be able to head on, I should be there in a little over half an hour.

I picked this up today and played for most of the afternoon and evening. I really like it a lot. I feel like the controls are real good and everything from slaying beasts to picking mushrooms are great. I'm not sure if I'm ready to go online with it yet because I want to explore the game more. How is the online anyway?

Nope, just the ability not to kill a wounded monster during a capture.

Go to the Wisdom 3 server under recruiting, then gate 27.  We're in city 5.  To get there, run straight forward until you hit an invisible wall.  Remember the most important thing is to just not die.

There's new event quests up now, too.  One is to hunt four Jaggis, the other is to hunt 2 Royal Ludroth.

Online is rock solid and nothing is lost in the game play. This is a great game that I was on the ropes with because of the demo, but I'm glad I listened to my gut.

I really want to do the multi-Jaggi hunt. I think we could do it. I might be available Thursday night.

I also want to take down the Ludroth because I've been close several times but we always fail.
