Where there any scratches on the screen?

What about the angle, was it hard getting a good angle?  I hear that since the screens are positioned so strangely you can never quite see both screens fully.

sorry, I had to fix that.  As for my questions...spell check please? lol.  But seriously, how comfortable are the shoulder buttons?
Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you n

How do you not fall down more often?
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I don't think he's lying. The GameStop I work at just got two units in for trial. As well as that, Nintendo DS' Store Location has been updated...

It's still not done, but it's got more stuff down.

I'll say the shoulder buttons are just as good as the SP's, probobly better.  I'll answer any questions you have.  (the only game i played is metroid hunters.)

The L+R buttons finally feel right. The original GBA did I good job but the SP didn't (in my opinion). I was first worried about the awkward feeling of the DS, but those worries are put to rest, as many others have stated. I really want to get a full grip feel for it though, not some physically restraining fixed position that the kiosk/trials provide.

What cracks me up, is that even after reading his post, people still felt comfortable asking him questions.  Wow.

Has anybody figured out who this fellow is?  I would very much like to know.  He is slowly but surely becoming my hero.

Well, chain chomp, did you happen to see how to turn on and shut off the Nintendo DS?

You turn it on and off by pressing the button over the d-pad...  You have to hold it down for a split second longer that normal though which will hopefully prevent powering down on accident...it has me a little worried though.

YAY!  I went to EB today, and they had the DS display kiosk thingy!  And there were two of them!  So, my friend met me there and we duked it out in Metroid Prime Hunters.  Just to put any doubt out of peoples minds.... THIS THING ROCKS!!  It's not kinda fun, it's not sorta neat, it is incredible.  Everthing from graphics, which look amazing in real life, WAY better than N64, to the precision touch screen, the DS is gonna be one of the greatest inventions in the video gaming world.  I was already excited and had heard that the DS isn't all that shocking/impressive in real life, its pretty much what it looks like online.  In my opinion, it is still very cool to try out in real life.  If anyone has questions, I'll try to answer them for you.

Oh yeah, and the Power button?  It's SLIGHTLY indented into the system, and your hand never ever goes near it, so absolutely no worries of accidentally resetting or powering the system off during gameplay.  Despite it's convenient location, its about as easy to hit by accident as it is to close the screens by accident, lol.  And the buttons are really really tiny, but they're very SP-clicky (meaning they feel as clicky and responsive as the SP's) so they work very well, and I'm over 6 foot, so I have larger hands. *Is unable to wait another week* *sigh*

Sorry, one other note.  Lag? What is lag?  Yeah, there;s none of that for the DS.  It took about (literally) 3.5 seconds to fully load up the two player multi-player in Metroid, and the framerate is top notch, and didn't even slightly dip!

Played the DS at Best Buy today. I came away impressed. I played around with Metroid and the graphics are better than in screen shots. I can't wait to play Mario on this thing! Just don't get too hyped up about it our you'll be disappointed. Its a good little system, and fun to play, but its not going to blow everything out of the water. I'm looking forward to some different gameplay other than the standard run of the mill stuff the PSP is going to have.

Also plaid Prime 2- kicks total ass!!!!!! I can't wait for this!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHH!

Fenix: On LANs the lag is in the millisecond range, it's not noticeable. That changes once your connection is piped through the internet.
