Resident Evil Revelations 2 Vita edition bombed unsurprisingly.

About 40 hours into Dragon Quest 8 on the ps2 and I can confidently say the game is a masterpiece. I can see why 7 wouldn't come to the West since it is a large scale remake, but for 8 all they would have to localise is the small amount of extra story content since the localisation they have already is amazing. Eh' Guv'.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is just the cart version though, digital version been out for awhile now even in Japan. Not to mention is was on PS4/Xbox One months prior to the Vita version.

MGSV drop is a big alarming though, right now it's at 1/2 million (PS4/PS3) combined but the second week sales nearly flatlined. Wonder if this game is going have any legs in Japan.

Falcom rises to the top with their latest action RPG, Tokyo Xanadu for the PlayStation Vita. It's followed by Konami's Winning Eleven soccer game and Gust's Yoru no Nai Kuni action RPG. The PlayStation 4 price cut is in effect as sales rise to 46k.

Man, Xbox Japan is a total failure at this point. Xbox One had a price drop in Oct but it didn't effect sales at all :0 PS4 boost is about where I predicted it would be.

With the holiday coming up I expect to see maybe 300K PS4 being sold in Japan. The two biggest titles for Japan's fall-winter break are Monster Hunter X and Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem.

Not sure why but MHX humbers are going be CRAZY. Not sure why the series is as popular as it is in Japan but I expect an easy 1-2 million first month sale figure for it alone.

It's popular because of its "meet-up and play" style and meticulous grind.

As for SMTxFE, they've certainly made the game Japanese enough to be successful with the audience. I don't see it pushing large numbers though.

Kinda shocked to see Metal Gear 5 at 3rd. Expected to see a few million for the first month between all the platforms but MGS 5 didn't really "fly" off the shelves. Two annual sports titles outselling a long awaited sequel is never a good sign IMO.

The Metal Gear Solid has a lot of acclaim and love around it, but it was never that huge of a hit.

Also, people really love those sports games.

I guess Super Mario Maker in 6th is alright?

To be honest SMM was never going be a grand hit. 2 million levels but you have to filter out all the crap to find the gems and that's going turn off a lot of gamers pretty quick. I had some fun with making a few stages but playing someone else's troll levels kill my enjoyment of the game.

Mario Maker sold over 500k in September which makes it the second highest start for a Wii U game in North America behind only Smash Bros which did over 700k last November, you know the month with Black Friday in it. So yeah, Mario Maker did pretty good.

Plus Super Mario Maker is the only single-platform game on the list, so that sounds like a good start to me. I also expect this to be one of those games that has "legs," so its overall total will keep growing. Wouldn't surprise me if the top 3 sellers on Wii U end up as SmUsh, Mario Kart VIII, and Mario Maker.

I think she's referring to North America. Last we heard, Splatoon had hit 500k in NA. So it's a slower one than the three she mentioned.

Not sure about Nintendo Japan anymore. They announced an "new" WII U bundled but it's basically a white 32GB with Splatoon preinstalled for 34000 yen.

. No amiibo's, no special color or sticker.
